my first was 10 hours, my second was 4.5 hours and my third was 2 hours.

Every labor is different and you can have one that is 36 hours then have a 10 hour labor then go back and have a 20 hour labor. You can never count on a certain amount of time.

Contractions started at 3:15 AM, and we went to the hospital for the first time at 7:30 AM. The doctor on call was a complete moron, and told me it would be at least another month before our son was born - even though I had already lost my plug! Contractions continued all day and kept getting stronger, so we went back at 5:30 PM. The doctor from the morning was getting ready to leave, and we made him eat his words - I was definitely in labor! My son was delivered 5 weeks early at 4:16 AM the next day - a HUGE preemie weighing 6 lbs, 12 oz and 20" long with no health/developmental problems at 5 weeks early. They said he would have been well over 9 lbs and 22" long (OUCH!) if I carried to term, but I digress.
It was a total of 25 hours and 1 minute, to be exact. To be honest, it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought. The first thing I said after he was born was, "That's it, I'm DONE?!" Haha.

Didn't feel a THING? Did they knock you out? lol! I had a lady in my hospital room like you! So cute and fresh as a daisy! All smiles and no sweat! Her labour was a little over an hour! WELL! How sweet! Grrr!~ I was in labour from 5:20 AM to 9:52 PM ! All back pain , all day! After "she" told me she has had worse "GAS" pains, it took me awhile to like her, believe me! Yet, in the end , all worth every minute( I mean HOUR) lol

My first labor was a very short 4 hours and 42 minutes and I felt A LOT. It went very fast and I had NOTHING for pain because of a heart condition that I have.

My 2nd labor was 8 hours and 4 minutes. Not as painful and again with no pain medication.

I went in at 7:15am and delivered right at 4:00pm. Labor was a breeze after the epidural of course.

From getting admitted to the hospital to get induced ( i was a week and a half late and miserable) it took me 36 LONG hours. I'm hoping the next one will be quicker!! Ha
