We feed her the same cat food as our other cat that has no problems and dosent smell at all.. its not when she gets excited or scared it just random... all the time... is there anything that could be wrong with her insides? i have had quite a few male cats that havent farted much... dose it make a difference if they are male or female?

help please?!?!?!

My brothers cat farts all the time! He found that feeding her cat food with low fibre works better for her. And don't give the cat treats.

There's not likely anything wrong with your kitten, but there may be something wrong with the food you're feeding her. Try a higher grade of food with no corn or meal of any kind listed in the first 3 ingredients. Real meat should be in the first 3. Canned food is mostly water but can cause a cat to pass gas. Dry food is more likely to produce gas but there is so much fiber in it, it's hard to get around. Try Wellness if you can get it where you live. It's a great, healthy food. It seems more expensive but the cat will get full faster so you don't have to feed them as much of it. One thing's for sure, though, the food is not agreeing with your kitten so you do need to try something else. Good luck. She sounds adorable!

My kittens did that until I found out they were getting into the puppy food that was meant for my Welsh Corgis, and the farts smelled AWFUL! Once I figured that out, I locked them away from the dog food and they hardly fart now, moral of the story, maybe they aren't getting into dog food, I don't know if you have dogs... but they food that you are feeding it may not agree with their stomach like it does for your other cat. Try a diet change. :-) Best of luck!

Science diet and Iams have pet food formulas that are specifically for cats with sensative stomachs. I would definately give one of those a try. And yes I agree with the person who said that the better foods aren't really that much more expensive....they eat less of it and besides they feel much better....you can't put a price on that!

Most likely the food doesn't agree with her. Try another kind, but introduce it slowly.

Flatulence in a cat is a common clue that she has worms. If she hasn't been de-wormed recently, that could very well be your problem.
