Do you feel you would find christianity and many of it's followers less off putting if it stuck to the teachings of jesus without Paul's hate filled rhetoric and associating itself with yahweh, the monster of the old testament?

That's why I stubbornly call it Paulinity, since it has nothing to do with Jesus.

I doubt I'd believe, but I'm certainly more comfortable with Christians than I am with Paulinists.

It would be like chopping off one limb from a monster. Maybe the monster has one less leg but it is still a monster. The problem isn't just with one part, albeit Paul's terrible misogynistic crap is one of the very worst things about Christianity. But, even without it, the religion would still deny the Divine Feminine, Mother Earth and the teachings of the pagans and the Witches and the good people of pre-Christianity and pre-Judaism would still be lost in time to the slaughter and the lies that ensued.

Christ had some good teachings, I will say that. But his loyalties were most definitely with his father in heaven, not his mother Earth.

Good question, very thought provoking!

Perhaps attempts to look down upon other religions and people outside this cult as Hellbound ie really against the True Teaching of Jesus Christ makes me think that Christanity as an organised cult is playing in to the hands of Satan who is prhaps only a Servant of the Real 100 % Omnipotent, Omnipresent and Omniscient God.

The partial views of limiting the God to certain chains who can not control or save all His children, as per the wishes of falliable Human Controllers of Power, controlling larger sections of common masses of innocent ignoramuses perhaps attracts the interests into Christianity.

Of course its okay to be like that and its okay to be like this also.. Is and Beyond, perhaps the 100 % God ... enjoying prhaps all these comparitively harmless dramatisations in this World ...

I am a Christian, so I hope you don't mind me answering. I do feel like Christians and non Christians focus too much on the hate and nonsense of the OT and Paul and it's very unfortunate because Jesus said a lot of great things, and to me, what he said matters most.

Much of Jesus's teachings were pretty morally sound.

Paul, on the other hand, perverted the Following of the Way (the original followers, as you probably know, refered to themselves as 'Followers of the Way'), and turned it to an excuse to hate and marginalize.

Paul founded Christianity... "And Jesus Wept."

The sermons and teachings of Jesus are pretty inconsistent, and it's not at all sure that the hate-filled ideas are only Pauline. The Gospel of John is extremely anti-semitic, for example.

And it is Jesus word that not one jot or tittle of Moses law would be taken away.

anyone who wants to follow that path should follow it, and stop with the condemnations and preachiness. the fundies are giving a bad name to the truly spiritual christians. the scripture itself doesn't matter, it's how you apply it with respect to the rest of the world. unfortunately, the christian church was used to subdue the rest of the world, and too many people still think it's their right to force their beliefs on others.

Honestly, I feel that any way they want to package it, it's still nothing more than a primitive superstition and I personally have no use for it. And I don't really care what brand people choose to practice just as long as they keep it out of my face.

Worldliness, envy, and pride existed among certain early Christians. James calls some “adulteresses” because they were friends of the world and thus guilty of spiritual adultery. Surely, we do not want to become worldly in attitude, speech, and actions, for that would make us God’s enemies. His Word shows us that “a tendency to envy” is part of the bad inclination, or “spirit,” in sinful humans. So if we realize that we need to fight envy, pride, or some other bad inclination, let us seek God’s help by holy spirit. That force, supplied by God’s undeserved kindness, is greater than “a tendency to envy.” And whereas Jehovah opposes the proud, he will give us undeserved kindness if we fight sinful tendencies.

Perhaps. But, then how would they justify their hypocrisy and their hatred toward those who are different without Paul?
