Sugar breakdown
Fat percentage and saturated/unsaturated or hydrogenated
Level of sodium

Good and bad depend on the food you are selecting and is only valid when compared against other similar products. If you don't expect sugar in a product but see that it has lots of it then that's bad.

You want to minimize trans fats, hydrogenated fats and saturated fats.

Your daily sodium intake should be less than 2400 mg, so you would need to calculate the impact based upon serving size

at the start (my opinion), there are not any "good" canine meals, in a food market or Walmart, that are good on your pets. right it is what I memorized, when I first shopped for a sturdy, high quality nutrients: a million) De- boned poultry, fish, or lamb, 2) healthy entire grains, 3) backyard vegs. and fruit, 4) All-organic, 5) Gluten-unfastened, 6) NO animal with the help of-products, 7) NO corn, wheat, or soy protein. ** I surely have my MinPin on poultry Soup for canine fans Soul (2 mos. now). yet, there are different manufacturers. pass on your close by puppy keep! savour your new pooch! :)

The first thing I look at is cholesterol since I have gallbladder disease. Then I look at the total fat and how many fat calories there are. The next thing to look at is sodium. I try to stay away from corn syrup, etc. as well.
