It is obvious by many of the answers you have received:
Because the god of this world has binded their eyes and minds and their heart is waxed gross:
2 Co 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
Matt. 13:15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I shoud heal them.
In His Service,
John the Baptist

God is not a mean God and if anyone thinks that, they have no idea what they are talking about.
Yes, we will all be judged in the end and people who have ignored God will have to answer to Him. He will make the final decision who burns and who does not.
Humans have been given free will, meaning we make our own choices. When people in big business make choices to increase profit at the expense of the air, water and soil (as they have) we suffer greatly. No surprise that cancer, asthma and a host of other horrible medical problems have increased a great deal.
When the heads of these companies, and the governments that allowed them to do this, come before God, I'd like to be there to put in my two cents.

Amen to that sister!! People don't even know that God is a good God and only wants the best for them. They don't know that it's like any relationship - if you ignore someone long enough they will still love you, or want to be in your life, but what can they do? People don't even think about God most of the time. So the relationship isn't there. God is real, God is good, and he's changed my life. We can only pray. They have to want Him in their lives. Jesus stands at the door and knocks................who wants to let him in?

That would make him an UNJUST God. He is a Just God and a God of Love. Hell is where our grave is. If we choose to not do his will then, at our second death, we will be just sent back to our grave (HELL). That would be like is your child sinned and was so bad, you would put that child in the microwave, now that don't sound good, does it? I know God is Love and he Loves Mankind. Sure he says, deny me and I will deny you. But to send us to a hell of a fiery torture, NO.

I understand what you're saying, but I don't agree. I think it's a little more symbolic. People create their own misery with their poor choices. Look at all the disgruntled people angry at God and wondering why their life is miserable. They want to blame God or people who believe in God, but it's really their own fault.

No, I can't, and I never will.
It's so frustrating! I'll never understand why, even though there's no sign of the existence of a god, and the bible is full of holes, and science is constantly finding ways to disprove the "prophecies" and "miracles" in christianity, people are still christian!
There are countless other religions that you scoff for the same reason I scoff yours! You're ALL THE SAME.

Who are you to tell people what the truth is? Everyone has the right to believe in their own truth without being disdained.

Sister it is written that men's hearts must wax cold. Just let the truth be known for men are already judged by the words they speak.

Actually, most people who don't believe in God refuse to accept the idea that sin even exists. It is fairly hard to convince them to repent of it, that being the case.
