While that sounds better than the Hell described in the Bible, if you believe what the Bible says, then you will believe in a place of eternal torment.
Sorry!

I have been suffering from post partum depression for the past one year when I gave birth to a baby boy. I couldn't stop thinking about how my husband loves him more than me and how things might be better if he wasn't born at all. Thus, I stayed away from him because I knew that I might do something I will regret for the rest of my life.
Almost instantly I went to a therapist and convince them that I need help. Among other things, I've tried herbal supplements and other book to treat depression but nothing works like the Depression Free Method. So now I'm proud to say I'm one of the happiest mother in the world. My husband loves us both very much and I thank the Lord for the blessing he gave us.
Depression Free Method?

Pastors will give you as much information as they think you can bear. If it is obvious to him that you are turned off by the hell-fire story, he'll give you the "depression" tale. If another member of the flock is already depressed, he'll tell them hell doesn't really exist at all. Christianity is not interested in truth, just bums on seats.

Jesus said several times in the Gospels there was a hell, where, as He said, "the worm does not die and the fire is not quenched", in Mark chapter 9. Jesus also gave a graphic picture in Luke 16 about a rich man who went to Hell. From the words in that passage, that man could feel torment very well indeed. Not to make it a loaded question, but if your pastor doesn't believe in a literal Hell, does he believe in a literal Heaven? Does he believe the Bible to be the Word of God?
But more important, how about you? Nobody has to go to Hell if they only accept the gift of salvation from Jesus Christ our Lord. I hope you receive the Lord's guidance from His Word on this topic.

study the Bible, its a ought to. Hell is horor and discomfort. that's appozing to the soul, this is the reason that's referd to as fire. Take a lighter place it under the palm of your hand multiply this via an astronomical huge form. human beings gain what they stitch additionally. this means that the rigors that folk reason are spiritualy gatherd and sewn into their soul, Phisical and spiritual, additionally this is seven fold our what ever is decread consistent with their judgment. additionally jesus describes fire worms crawling threw the soul, additionally weeping and nashing of tooth, They use to offer human beings a stick of their mouth while no anastetic replaced into available for persons getting their limbs cut back of. Am i ruining your day yet, its the reality, Their are differnt places of punishment, Hell, Hades, dying, Abyss "have been fallen angels are forged", place of burning sulpher. Their is likewise the sea of existence, i think that's the situation have been human beings wait in a state of close eye for the resurection. the perfect judgement is the lake of fire. dying and Hades and probable different places supply up the lifeless that have been in them for judgment, then are forged in to the Lake of fire. this is magnifying the discomfort much greater. Then those got here across wanting are thrown with the devil Beast and fake prophet and their minions into the lake that burns with fire. God isn't chuffed with people who acquire the non secular mark 666 and the warnings are being given to their secret underworld society, turn or burn.in case you like the parables that specify this the wheat and the weeds, weeds are placed in bundles, then are placed into lake of fire. So judgments are going on already. i replaced into salted with fire. Thats how I no. have faith it or no longer. its as much as you.

I don't mean to speak against your pastor.
But if he believes that he needs to study his Bible a little closer, And spend more time on his Knees talking to God.
My advise to you is study your Bible for yourself.
And be much in prayer. Soul Salvation is the most Important thing a person can have. Not something to be taken lightly,
If you Seek God you will find him.Don't take your pastors,
or anybody else word on something this Important.
Search it out for yourself

No. Hell is a man made religious extorsion by those who seek to control your religion. A loving God would always seek to bring you closer to him and would never, never , never permanently block you from him for slipping up. This new "flameless Hell" your pastor proposes is not as bad but it is still extorsion from the pulpit.

What does God's word say.
The word “hell” is found in many Bible translations. In the same verses other translations read “the grave,” “the world of the dead,” and so forth. Other Bibles simply transliterate the original-language words that are sometimes rendered “hell”; that is, they express them with the letters of our alphabet but leave the words untranslated. What are those words? The Hebrew she’ohl′ and its Greek equivalent hai′des, which refer, not to an individual burial place, but to the common grave of dead mankind; also the Greek ge′en·na, which is used as a symbol of eternal destruction. However, both in Christendom and in many non-Christian religions it is taught that hell is a place inhabited by demons and where the wicked, after death, are punished (and some believe that this is with torment).
Does the Bible indicate whether the dead experience pain?
Eccl. 9:5, 10: “The living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all . . . All that your hand finds to do, do with your very power, for there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol,* the place to which you are going.” (If they are conscious of nothing, they obviously feel no pain.) (*“Sheol,” AS, RS, NE, JB; “the grave,” KJ, Kx; “hell,” Dy; “the world of the dead,” TEV.)
Ps. 146:4: “His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground; in that day his thoughts* do perish.” (*“Thoughts,” KJ, 145:4 in Dy; “schemes,” JB; “plans,” RS, TEV.)
Does the Bible indicate that the soul survives the death of the body?
Ezek. 18:4: “The soul* that is sinning—it itself will die.” (*“Soul,” KJ, Dy, RS, NE, Kx; “the man,” JB; “the person,” TEV.)
“The concept of ‘soul,’ meaning a purely spiritual, immaterial reality, separate from the ‘body,’ . . . does not exist in the Bible.”—La Parole de Dieu (Paris, 1960), Georges Auzou, professor of Sacred Scripture, Rouen Seminary, France, p. 128.

You're asking people to tell you what they know about the unknowable.
Hell would be different for everyone, but I doubt if there is actually a place where people go and burn for eternity. That is a primitive tool originally used to scare primitive people into acting a certain way.

It is separation from God, however, there is a lake of fire prepared for Lucifer and his fallen angels, of which the Scripture states will also be the home of those who follow Lucifer and reject the Holy Spirit.
The best thing for you to do is diligently study the Holy Scriptures, in fervent prayer asking for understanding, wisdom, and knowledge of the will of God.
God be with you,
William, a bond-servant of Jesus
