I have a friend who is pretty large--about 350-400lbs. And she is such a sweet heart, you would not believe. So she is going to Las Vegas from Maui and I asked her if I gave her money, can she pick up some panties from Victoria Secret for me since we do not have them in Maui.
She told me she would not because the last time she did, she almost broke down in tears. She was buying size small and medium panties for her friends and the cashier laughed at her and said,"Uh, I REALLY don't think these are gonna fit you, honey!" Is that not so rude!?!

That's incredibly Rude! I hope she asked to speak to the manager.

Jeez, I'm glad the women don't act like that at my local store. I can only imagine what they would say to my mother or grandmother when they go in to buy my christmas present each year (I always ask for underware because I usually don't need anything when they ask what I want).

Peace,
Jenn

how does someone like that get or keep a job? I work at a Giant Eagle store and we're trained to provide fair and equal service to ALL customers (even the really rude ones). If someone made a comment about how much food a bigger person bought,or something, they'd be at least written up, if not fired; which i think that woman should be.

ya that's pretty rude.....but you should know your friend is being treated that way, and not ask her to do stuff like that. I have a large friend too, and if we go out for ice cream or McDonald's, I always place the order, cause I know the clerks are always thinking, "like you need to eat", if my friend orders. You need to be more aware of your friend's feelings... and as far as victoria secret goes....their clothes are made in sweat shops and you shouldn't be supporting that anyways

Of course it is the manager should be told and then I would call the company.........The rude person needs to be wrote up or even fired.your friend should receive an apology from the company and a gift certificate.

A good clerk should only be interested in the sale, not making rude remarks.
If the boss knew how she was treating the customers, she would be out on her backside!

That is extremely rude. You should not ask your friend to be put in that situation again and just buy them on-line. I hope your friend reported the cows to the manager as well as to the Corporate office.

Yes, it is totally rude and unprofessional and I can understand why your friend would boycott Victoria Secret from now on.

That was totally rude and unprofessional. If I were her I would've put the stuff down and walked out. People can be so mean!
