I used ProActive for a long time, and while it did help a little, it still didn't do much for me. When I used it everyday it would over dry my skin. I would definitely recommend seeing your dermatologist for your skin. Mine prescribed me some great washes and creams that worked wonders! My skin is great now. No one will know your skin better than your dermatologist, hah.

If you decide to buy ProActive though, I would recommend buying the SPF 15 moisturizer they offer too, that way it won't be to harsh on your skin and it will help with the dryness. Also don't wash with it more than once a day.

It didn't for me. It worked for the first so many days, then it wasn't working much at all. Really, you should see a dermatogist. It costed me $90 for the visit and then I just needed to get my prescriptions- lets see, about $70 from walmart and the stuff lasts like 4 months except the antibiotics but those are most important at 1st to get rid of old infections on your skin. For not much more you can get professional skin care. If you have insurance it will be much cheaper.

I've used proactiv for a while and all it does for me is "calm down" my acne. it doesn't make it picture perfect like on the commercials but I keep using it anyway because I haven't been to a dermatologist. I guess you'd just have to try it and see.

Its actually a pretty decent product. But a little too high on the price scale. For those who REALLY need it then its perfect. I bought some and it improved my skin a lot, but then my mom used it and it barely helped. It all depends on your own skin type. Dermatologist consultations are always the best.

My brother has recently started using it and it has worked wonders! His skin wasn't really that bad, he just had a few acne spots that just wouldn't go away. But after a week his skin started showing improvement.

I have good skin but would sometimes get spots so I tried a similar product by Clean & Clear that worked also.

it really depends on your skin. i'm allergic to benzoil peroxide, so, it didn't work for me. but it works for most people. is a lower percentage of benzoil peroxide acne topical cream works for you (drugstore brands, like Clearasil or Neutrogena On-The-Spot) then, Proactiv would probably be good for you.

i heard from many people that it does work, but you have to use it constantly. once you stop, you break out.

i suggest acnefree. i use it and it's faster results, and much cheaper. you can just go to a drugstore or target or walmart and get it. just make sure with facial systems, you continuously use it regularly

Didn't work very well for me... I don't feel that there is one product that can work for everyone's skin. Everyone has different skin types. Just my experience and opinion.
