so my sister wants to know if she gives me her prescription if I can fill it for her at our pharmacy. (she was prescribed Hydrocodone 500/5 and Penicillin) she has an absess tooth, and to top it off, moderate leg pain. I thought this was impossible, but I know my cousin picks up her father's meds and sister's on occasion for them. is it possible for her to call in or something similar? thanks for any help :)

thanks for all the answers so far! I just wasn't sure that if I did bring it in, if I should explain that its my sisters or just hand it to them and see if they ask for I.D. or anything. I didn't know if it'll be weird to start explaining about it.

Lea - she is paying by cash because she doesn't have insurance to pay for prescriptions right now. I guess I could bring her I.D. for safety measures. thanks!

In the worst case scenario, the pharmacy might call your sister to confirm you are there to pick up her medications. Make sure you have her insurance information, and it shouldn't be a big deal.

The penicillin would not be problem. The hydrocodone might be. Call your local pharmacy and check.

It shouldn't be a problem. I am laid up right now due to a knee surgery and both my mom and boyfriend have been able to drop off and pick up my percocet prescriptions for me. I give them my ID and insurance card just in case, but they both said they have never needed it.

You certainly can ,
if they have questions they can call your sister.
I doubt they would ask for your ID anyway.
