It used to be, as it was in the military, they were required to grow and harvest their own food. They could stop worrying so much about "Prisoner's Rights" and "Over Crowding", do away with the free college education, cable TV and free healthcare. They could also stop paying them while they are incarcarated. I invite you to visit any U.S. Navy ship and ask to take a tour. Check out the sleeping quarters for the enlisted. Bunks are always three high, and they cram about 20 people into a space about 16' X 16'. Prisoners have it better.

I consider the countless posts approximately proscribing rec time and time spent in front of the television. people who're in reformatory are there to pay for against the regulation that they dedicated, no longer stay extra powerful than complicated working regulation-abiding electorate! i think of that in case you placed the prisoners to artwork extra and supply them much less loose time, they might learn some issues and can improve into regulation-abiding electorate while they get out of reformatory. i think of if prisoners artwork in some style of public provider on a similar time as in reformatory it is going to extra powerful the community and the prisoners. And, if the prisoners do some thing to assist pay for the fee of their incarceration, then which will cut back the fee to the tax payers!

Simple deport all the illegal criminals! We shoudnt be paying to house them in our prisons!! Most of them think being in prison here in the USA is paradise on earth!! If we send em back to wherever they all came from it would be an immediate savings of 20-30% in tax dollars on both the federal and state levels.

Ask Sherriff JOE ARPAIO , he has a tent city in the desert and has saved a lot of money in the warehousing of criminals.

This guy should be a national hero.

Releasing non-violent offenders and giving them community service instead. Ending the death penalty because the cost of maintaining a prisoner on death row is considerably higher that that for a life sentence.
