I am 5"4 1/2 my max weight is 145 to join, if you are over that you will be taped, if you fail the tape you will either get a waiver or they will tell you , you cant join at this time.
I had 3 children i was 34 when I went in the Guard, I was at 155 when I got to BCT right now im 130lbs.. work hard now to get to where you want and need to be.
Keep in mind not all females are shape the same.. but for you work hard , eat healthy, drink water and the weight will fall off.
Good luck
Soldier & Armywife
EDIT:
I so have nothing against MRSJVD but I want to say this.. you MAY NOT be able to join the Army being a single parent, yes you are not suppose to give up custody for the sole purpose of enlisting, but look it happens almost everyday , I was in BCT with a female who was 19 yrs old who had 2 children under the age of 5, she gave her mom Custody of her boys for her to enlist , she can not get them back until the end of her enlistment or it will be breech in her contract.
For you honey you will need to talk to a Recruiter.
IF you can enlist without having to give up Custody good for you just make sure you have a Family Care plan AR 600-20

Page 4 will have what is called a screening table weight.
You will be taped if you are a certain height, weight, certain age, and female and male have a say in it as well. If you are pregnant then they won't tape you but they won't let you join until after you have the baby. You can still have babies in the military after you have joined.
Now also depending on your age you are allowed a certain amount of body fat. How ever tall you are and how much you weigh doesn't matter except that when you reach a certain weight depending on your height you will be taped. Its all about body fat %. If you meet the body fat % then you are in the clear. There is no such thing as max weight. You can weigh 240 lbs but if it is all muscle then obviously you are not fat and can join.
At age 17 and being 65 inches you will be taped when you reach 150 lbs according to Army Regulation 600-9 table 3-1.
There is nothing wrong with being a single mom being in the military. There are tons of people in the military that are single parents. You will just have to have a family support plan that basically means that you will have a place for your children to go if you get deployed or if you have to pull 24 hour duty or go to the field. If you don't have a family support plan then they can kick you out.

Well, I am not sure what the weight limits are for the army, but at 5'5'', which is actually 65'' not 68'', you must weigh less than 180lbs. If you do not, they will do measurements to calculate your body mass index, or BMI. Since you are female, I believe it must be less than 22% body fat, but you will probably have to talk to a recruiter. Also, recruiters can give you gym access, and help you train to get into better shape if you are serious. I would never discourage anybody from going into the military, but it is not easy. I did 5 years in the Navy, and don't regret a moment of it. Good luck!!!

Are you a single parent? Just asking because if you are you might not be able to come in the military, I think the army reserves you can but not active duty.
It isn't all about weight either you are allowed a body fat percentage which at your age I believe is 30%. You have a max weight of 141 lbs.

as a 17 year old, you must have a HS diploma and parental permission. If you are a single parent, you may not enlist at all. Weight standards are like 160lbs. No freebies for having a child, and no recruiter will talk to you until you meet weight standards.
you may NOT give up custody for the sole purpose of enlisting, and you may NOT regain custody at ALL during your Active Duty time..anywhere from 4-6 years depending on job.
