I think Jr will do better at Hendrick because he will not have the personal stress he has had driving for his stepmom.
I, too, hate another name change. Sprint Cup Series sounds very stupid. Although, it will be harder to call the other series the Nationwide series instead of the Busch series. THAT will take a LOT of getting used to! Oh, and I read the other day that Craftsman will leave the Trucks after 2008! So, another name change!

I am not a Dale Jr. fan but I think the entire team is going to be a force to be reckoned with in 2008. I have a feeling if they did this well this year imagine what they are going to do next season. But yeah I think Dale Jr. will do well at Hendrick Motor sports. And, i also don't like the fact that the cup name is changing. It does not sound right to me. "the NASCAR Sprint cup series"? And then changing the name of the Busch series too? But I guess it is just something we are going to have to get used too.

I think that Dale will do better next year. After all, it's a different hand feeding him now, and he doesn't have to deal with all of the company drama this time around. I'm sure it was very hard to concentrate on driving when he's decided to leave the company his father built for his own children. It's sad to see a legacy like that end up in grasping hands.
On a lighter note, yes, again with the name change! It seems to be a rampant epidemic in the NASCAR series. Here in Indy we have the Allstate 400, formerly known as the Brickyard 400. What's next, the Oscar Meyer 500?
Maybe they'll race the Weinermobile!!! :)

Hendrix??? Jr is still alive, it's not yet time for him to hang out with Hendrix. Yes I 'm sure he will, think he'll enjoy driving superior equipment, if he overdrives them he'll at least do as well as Kyle Busch did, LOL. GO JR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes the name change is stupid, I agree with whoever said it sounds like sprint cars....but there are toyotas in it so it's getting watered down as it is, and nextel always was a clunky name. I miss the days of Winston Cup and 2008 may be my last year of attending races(already bought tickets so I'm going).
Nationwide is a mouthful, but it'll be easy for the corporate monkeys to say...."My guys did such a great job today for the Nationwide Pepsi Fritos Carquest Cingular AT&T Wireless Kleenex Evian Nicorette Zyban Odwalla Tropicana Hawaiian Punch Chevy ImPALa"

I only will believe it when I see it. He has been called by many such a great driver & his stats prove other wise. Excuses have always been that if he had better equipment he would do better. What happens when he goes to HMS & doesn't win or still finish behind Jeff & Jimmie, then what will excuses be. I think he better prove himself to be the great driver Jr nation has been bragging about all these past couple of years or HMS will have to maybe second guess their decision on signing Jr & letting Kyle Busch go.

I started watching NASCAR again about 2 years now, I use to watch it when I was younger when Richard Petty&Bobby Allison use to trade paint...anyway I think Dale jr is with a great team now..24..48..88...Are going to be hard to beat next year,,but I think he might want to stay out of Jeff Gordons way because...
24 JEFF GORDON....(is # 1)...thats right # 1..

I think Dale Jr. got rid of a bunch of mental pressure when he left the DEI. org. (not that I really think Dale Srs. wife was that bad a person.) But for some reason they didn`t see eye to eye on anything that was attempted in the org. That has to work on your Brain;;;;;; He will Be ok at Hendrick`s..Brain pressure relief if nothing else will be worth it all,
Now Alan to the second part of your Question,,,,
You know exactly how your Wife felt when she married you and had to change her last name, She loved you enough it made it all worth it ---that's how I feel about I really didn`t like
Nextel for a name but I was getting use to saying it ,

With Hendrick horsepower Jr. will do just fine. He's always been a great driver the problem is in the last 2 years his equipment has been sub-par.

I think he will get better equipment there, but I think the 24 and 48 teams are superior to the other teams. I don't think Tony Eury, Jr. is the answer for Junior, so I think he will be third at HMS with one or two wins tops, ahead of Casey Mears.

I don't know weather he will or not, but if he doesn't the good jobs are going to get harder to find!
About the name change. I understand about sponsorship, but I've had enough. I'll be calling it the Cup series, the Sportsman's series, and the Truck series, so don't even bother correcting me. I don't care about those sponsors anyway. All they are doing is lining Nascars pockets. You know Bill France and his family? The sprint series makes me think I'm at a dirt track! Nothing wrong with dirt, just tired of the changes!!!
