My uncle died in 1989 and even though I was 3 yrs old, I remember him very well, and they day he died too . He died in a horrific car crash. My parents told me alot about it, but they dont really like talking about it. I was wondering if there is any way that I can see pictures or reports about it? I know it was 1989 but it was such a bad crash that it was all over the news for days. There has to be something about it somewhere, right?

Your local library should have archived news articles on microfilm, so long as you know the exact date you should not have a problem finding any information. There are probably also archived news articles on line. You could probably even type his name into a search engine and something would come up. Good luck.

First, why should someone 21 years old have such an interest in this? You can start with the death certificate or police report. The local newspaper, if it were publishing back then should have copies of the paper on file, probably at the local library in microfiche or microfilm.

The newspaper arcives can help but also check with the police department that handled the crash. You can ask them how to get the files from the crash.

IF IT WAS A HORRIFIC ACCIDENT, THEN THE CORONERS OFFICE HAD TO DO AN AUTOPSY REPORT FOR AN UNNATURAL DEATH AND A CAUSE OF DEATH.
CHECK PAPERS LOCAL FOR EXACT DAY OF ACCIDENT. PLACE WILL BE COUNTY OF ACCIDENT AND STATE PATHOLOGIST SHOULD HAVE AUTOPSY AND ACCIDENT REPORTS ON FILE ACHIEVED
