They will pick the appropriate treatment for the condition you have and how seriously affected your skin is. Everyone is different so it's case by case. The majority of skin problems can be treated with topical creams, but some will require prescription medication and/or antibiotics. Some will keep your pores clean and treat any blackheads you have during your appointment. It really varies on the severity.
