I think a number of websites are actually trying to do this.
That one Dr. Phil is always talking about (match.com?).

However, I wonder how many people are perfectly honest about 1. who they are 2. what they want in a partner?

I think physical attraction goes a long way, and this is in addition to having the same values and ideals.

As a blind date veteran (over 50), and my best friend has done the blind date thing more like 80 times, we have found that even if you can talk to them for hours on the phone, there may not be that spark when you meet them in person. Or if there is, you discover things about them that are 'deal breakers'.

Soooo, I guess I'm trying to say no. I don't think there is a scientific way to pick a great partner.

Probably not. Science has little to do with matters of the heart.
