I got my eyebrow pierced about a year ago, and I took it out because it just never healed! My theory is that it was placed too low..was that the problem?

I kept it clean.
I used proper jewelry.
But it just never healed.
I have tons of other piercings, and all of them are fine. I'm just curious to know what people think, because I have no idea what went wrong.

Your body could have been trying to reject it.. happens a lot more then people think. I've had 2 eyebrow piercings reject.
Maybe it was the aftercare, or your body didn't like the jewelry you were wearing.

The same thing happened to my brother. His eyebrow piercing hurt so bad he couldn't sleep at night. I think the answer is that some parts of the body just aren't meant to be pierced, and some people are more sensitive than others.

It is healed over, but I know a bunch of people who just pierce closed piercings with thumbtacks. So, I'm sure you could re-pierce it, because it IS healed shut.

The most probable cause is that your body rejected the piercing. You might have been allergic to the metal or your body just doesn't like metal in it! Whatever the case, it's a good thing you took it out to avoid serious infection!

Could have been. I have had my ears pierced since I was 8, I got them double peirced and they never healed and were always infected. I think that it could be placement of object and type of material being put in the hole. What material was your ring for your eyebrow? Maybe gold will heal.

A) You messed with it too much
B) You were allergic to it
C) Your body rejected it (which can happen, albeit rarely)
Of course, you aren't being very specific. What makes you think it didn't heal? Placement shouldn't matter---you can literally get pierced ANYWHERE on your body.

That could possibly be a problem. However, you may not have cleaned it enough. Or, your body may have been rejecting the earring. There are many different factors that could have resulted in it not healing properly.

i am not sure about that, but i had a piercing that never really healed right, so i took it out, sometimes your body will reject an object you put in it... espically if you touch it too much, or you don't keep it REALLY clean.. thats probably it.

Could be that your body rejected the metal, too. Some people can't use surgical steel jewelry, must have titanium. Try that next time.
