I don't ignore the facts. There is also a lot of evidence to support abrupt appearance, or intelligent design, for those who really want to look at both sides honestly, you can find out the evidence that supports a non-evolutionary viewpoint from http://www.answersingenesis.org click on "Get Answers".
Is it possible to believe in evolution and in divine creation? Yes, but I don't believe in both.
I believe in Divine Creation. As for evolution, all I believe about that is that natural selection can decide which traits will be passed on within a species, but not form a new species.
For example, if a group made up of two breeds of dogs were placed in an Arctic habitat (and for this argument we will assume all of them know how to find food), and one breed was very short haired, and the other long, over time only the long haired ones would be left, because the short haired ones would freeze and not survive to breed. However they would ALL still be dogs, and there wouldn't really be anything added to genetic information, instead some genetic information would actually be lost, narrowed down, not expanded upon.

My 4 problems with Evolution
The key problem I am having is the following can be boiled down into 4 points:
1. There really is not very much solid information that 'supports' evolution, and each attempt at a critique of the theory is met with vicious verbal attack.
2. I believe in God. Fundamentally either a person believes that God Created the Earth as recorded in the Bible, or God does not exist. God leaves this as the option for mankind.
3. 4.6 billion years is just not enough time for the world to have evolved to the state it is in right now. Mathematically is beyond improbable (It is especially on this point that people totally ignore the argument and never reply with information or facts)
4. There is a growing groundswell of institutions, lawmakers, and citizens who support either Creationism, Intelligent Design, or the teaching of Evolutionary Criticism in the Public School system. If everything they believed were simply based upon a few passages in Genesis, they they would easily be thwarted. But there is a growing body of evidence AGAINST the Evolutionary theory.
Frankly, as a Creationist I am tired of the same old replies and propaganda I recieve with every question. I am looking for someone to engage these ideas with honesty, courtesy, and comparing apples with apples. For instance math facts with math facts.
By the way, the Bible itself does not make room for a Christian who believes in Evolution.

How can you believe a man who have just been today and tell you about the past? Is he powerful enough to know the things happened long long time ago?
It is only God who could tell where we came from. Why we were here on earth. Read the bible whioch is the word of God to know things which you do do not know.
May God bless you and will soon guide you to the right path.

If you are a genuine Christian than you will believe what the Bible says about creation and you will not question it.
I do not believe in evolution because I know by faith that God created the world and everyone in it.

To date-there is absolutely no evidence for evolution. There is speculation run wild, but no proof. There are far too many scientist who say the proof is not there.
Follow this link to a list of 700+ scientist who will state in public that they do not see the proof.

I have no choice except to acknowledge that both are believable and part of my accepted theory of the universe.

I believe in God as a creator.
I believe in evolution.
I have yet to spontaneously combust.
God allowed me to evolve a brain capable of reason and deduction. It would be an insult to God to not use it.

Well you can believe in both, but then you are saying that Genesis got it totally wrong.
