Clearly the only "logical" choice is to be an atheist.

The ONLY theory about how the world came into being is that there was a spontaneous explosion that came from NOWHERE and that sub-atomic particles created themselves.

Clearly, all life on earth is just an accident. The eye formed from nothing, etc.

Yes, nothing gives me a warmer feeling in my heart to know when I die, I will cease to exist FOREVER and that life has no point.

Do you agree?

"Clearly, all life on earth is just an accident. The eye formed from nothing, etc."

No, but clearly no creationists are smart...or honest.

Doesn't the fact that you have to act so childishly to defend your belief system tell you something about the quality of that belief system?

Only atheists are smart. Agree?

-Disagree, there are lots of smart people who aren't atheists

Clearly the only "logical" choice is to be an atheist.

-Yes, it's the only logical one

The ONLY theory about how the world came into being is that there was a spontaneous explosion that came from NOWHERE

-No, it's not the only theory, it's just the only valid theory based on observable facts.

sub-atomic particles created themselves.

-No, particles don't do creation, they're not sentient. They came into being following basic laws of physics.

Clearly, all life on earth is just an accident.

-Overstatement, but basically true. Process might be a better word than accident.

The eye formed from nothing, etc.

-Technically true if you track it down long enough. The present eye came from earlier eye types.

Yes, nothing gives me a warmer feeling in my heart to know when I die, I will cease to exist FOREVER and that life has no point.

-I hesitate to speculate what your feelings are, but see no reason to refute your claims. Good for you.

Do you agree?

-Some, see above.

You are wrong on all three counts.

That is not the only theory, but the only theory with evidence. When protons are smashed into each other at 99.99% of the speed of light in a particle accelerator, random sub-atomic particles arise by themselves.

The eye forming is hardly an accident, but the result of natural selection, a methedological, evolutionary phenomen that contrary to accidents, was the results of billions of years of fine-tuning.

First I do not claim that life has no point, but rather the point which you give it. Second its not my fault if you're scared/feel bad/need religion to feel good about yourself. Simply because it consoles you/makes you feel better does not mean that it is true.

Also sarcasm is much more effective when you are right.

No I Dont agree. And I see you dont know much about science. For life to exist on this planet, in this solar system, on the edge of this Galaxy in this universe a by itself would mean it would have had to happen on pure probability which you must not understand. Its like throwing a dart acoss a gym with a bulls eye so small you cant see and hitting it.

Atheist have to be the most absentminded people on earth.

1. Big Bang and evolutionary theories are not synonymous with a lack of belief in God (i.e. atheism)
2. We don't claim that something came from nothing any more than it was magically thrown into existence by Jesus. We just don't know the answers..Heaven forbid, right?
3. You can't decide whether something is right or not solely on the basis of it making you feel good.

And, I agree.

"Only logical choice," that's not what I would call smart, 'smart' people would probably use their beliefs to their advantage no matter what they were. I think beliefs and intelligence are separate. It's a bit like saying only smart people like chocolate ice cream best. There are some amazing, clever people who were very religious too remember:p
You sound sarcastic, but it is quite comforting knowing that when I die I will cease to exist, in my body, and only in the memories of people alive.

Yes, because it is logical to believe the actual randomization of the universe, from a being that just exists that created everything we know, and not once but twice rested the entire world on the shoulders of a few people, can destroy the entire world with a flood and call it purging, and blame the entire-ness of evil upon eating a fruit.

No no, having a ghost king *poof* everything into existence is much more reasonable.

Also, you're very ignorant and uneducated on the subject. Did you fail 6th grade science?

I'm not so sure. I've heard that the Bible god was created by a larger God, and he in turn was created by a still larger God.

The idea that god was just poofed into existence out of nothing, that's a little too close to atheistic for my comfort...

Disagree.

The most that can be said is that the evidence suggests that there is a small but significant negative correlation between religiosity and intelligence/schooling.
