Okay, so, before I started Prozac, I had extreeeeme mood swings, lost many friends, and acquaintances. Generally they were, Over joyful, making me annoying, uh, extra depressed, and then extreme anger, but then I got Prozac and after a while, my mood swings began to act normal, the average hormonal mood swings, but now, again, that I'm out, they've returned. Badly.
So I'm wondering, I don't see how Prozac could block out hormonal mood swings, only maybe help with my unnatural ones. So, could this mean, maybe I am Bipolar?
I also do have many symptoms of Bipolar such as,
Extreme irritability, Decreased need for sleep, More talkative than usual, Racing thoughts, Impaired judgment, Depressed mood, Loss of interest or pleasure, Sleep changes, Fatigue or loss of energy, Self-loathing, Concentration problems. And maybe more.

Thank you. ^^

Bipolar Disorder is most likely the cause, since most of what you described is common in Bipolar individuals, but it's probably not the only possibility.

Also, while Prozac can be used with Bipolar patients, I've never heard of it being used alone for it. Since Prozac is mainly an anti-depressant, it should only combat the depression aspect of BP. Wihout being combined with a mood stabilizer like Lithium or Depakote, anti-depressants will almost always make a Bipolar person become manic and worsen their condition. I may be wrong, but I've never heard of Prozac being considered a mood stabilizer.

Have you asked your doctor more about the depression that you were going through? Are you seeing any conscellors right now?

I'm not saying whether Prozac is helpful or not, but did you try other ways of lifting up your mood naturally? Taking excessive medications can also worsen the problem. Only take if there is a legitimate reason to do so.

teen temper swings, how approximately menopause this has comparable indications. Too undesirable you're actually not warned earlier to time while coming near the "teen years." For all medium's sake there is not any "teen years" in uncomplicated terms a rapid hormonal gadget working extra time to seize what's left of our youthful people. the premiere reason of temper swings may well be the effect of understanding you're being asked to leave residing house and be self sustaining and on a similar time being asked to stay at residing house because of the fact the be sure(s) gets lonely, a huge darn "tug-of-conflict." As for Bi-polar that's no longer a severe psychological illness like many have theory. the difficulty lies in communique with others, levels of mania or hyperactivity mentally. There are no blood tests for bipolar disorder. It's possible that the Prozac was treating the depressive symptoms and not the manic ones. I was on Effexor for depression and it caused me to have a manic episode with the decreased need for sleep, rapid speech, hypersexuality, irritability, and more.

Do as much research as possible and present it to a psychologist and/or psychiatrist. It's good that you recognize your symptoms. It will help you go forward to seek the help you need. If you have more specific BP questions. Shoot a message my way.

Lots of love.

Many people have mood swings, but people with Bipolar Disorder have extreme mood swings that highly vary. They may overreact to situations and blow things out of proportion either by getting very angry or very depressed. People may have cycles of behavior that are extremely manic followed by extremely depressed or they may have Manic episodes followed by periods of average behavior or depressed periods followed by periods of average behavior.
Prozac may helped to prevent mood swings, especially depressive mood swings, from becoming extreme and it may help both the hormonally driven mood swings and the psychiatrically driven mood swings because they are all mood swings and have components that are common to each other, one of which is that each are influenced by irritability. So, your observations concerning your behavior are not so far off the mark. Moreover, various medications do not have therapeutic effects with everyone and some people cannot tolerate side effects, which are also not the same with everyone. It is helpful to find a medication that is so effective for you.
