If you truly ask God into your heart, and truly have him in your heart, and have your heart in the right place, you won't want to sin. If, however, you aren't truly serious(maybe you don't realize you're not truly serious), you won't have that urge against sin. You'd be surprised at what God can do if he's working in you. Not many truly have him working actively in them. They think they do, but they don't as they still have that urge to sin.

Christians sin also. The difference is: once you become a Christian, God give you the power to overcome your sins, which doesn't mean you won't ever sin, but it makes you want to stop, so your desire to sin isn't as strong. It also gives you a safety net, so when you feel the desire to sin, you can pray and ask God to help you. God will forgive...as Jesus says, "Go and sin no more". He forgives you, but wants you to stop knowingly sinning, which he helps you do. Believe me, life is easier as a Christian in some ways, because you always have your faith and God's love to sustain you, even in hard times. It is not always easy, because people with not agree with you but the end result is much more satisfying...an eternal life with God in Heaven instead of hell (which is real).

To answer your question no, we all sin everyday, the difference is that a born again believer in Jesus Christ washes away our sins and cleanses us once forever. We are born once naturally, we are reborn spiritually. Now what happens is and this is an amazing thing about becoming a Christian is that Jesus begins a work in you, remember He loves you unconditionally so He wants the best for you and when you get saved He slowly brings you into that path. You talk about the sins you know you will embrace, until you are saved you will, because without God you will never overcome them but remember Jesus is Supernatural, Divine, Holy, He spoke the world into existance, So when you get saved then the world will look totally different than is does right now, Jesus said the wages of sin is death, when that burden of sin is removed from you it will feel like you can jump to the moon, you will feel so light I promise you that you will be a brand new person, You have to let Jesus wash away the past before you can start thinking about cleaning up the future. If you would like you can get saved right now, Are you will to confess your sins and make Jesus the Lord of your life? Just pray this sinners prayer of faith believing with all your heart, just pray Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. Jesus will now send his Holy Spirit to come and live in your heart and guide you into all truth. If you made a decision for Christ or have any questions, Please send me an email, God Bless YOU!!

There's no such thing as being a "good" Christian. The more you learn about Jesus - the worse off you realize you are and the more you understand how deep your need for a Savior really is. Being a Christian is nothing that you need to "be good at." It's being changed from the inside out by a real person much more powerful than yourself. When you come in touch with Jesus Christ in a real and personal way - He changes your life and you want to live different because of what He has done for you. It's not like you just decide one day to subscribe to some religious rules and nonsense and then aren't sure about it because you can't keep the rules. My faith as a believer is nothing like that. I think you should call 1-888-need-him and have a live conversation with someone who can explain further what I'm referring to because you're way off base on what you're describing Christianity as. Once you realize you're a sinner, repent of your sins, put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ - He gives you eternal life. So, eternal life means what? It starts here and has no end. If eternal life is a gift and it never ends, then once you acquire it - God doesn't send you to hell - that would defy the entire meaning of the words eternal life and it would defy the character of God Himself. He always keeps his promises and even when we are not faithful - HE is. That's it in a nutshell. I'm not sharing verses at this point because that doesn't sound like the level of answer you're looking for at this point - it sounds like you're just trying to understand the heart of what Christianity is all about and you need more information.

You should definately become a Christian. It will be the best decision you make in your entire life.
Everyone sins. As your relationship with God grows, you become a new person in Jesus. No one is perfect.
You need to talk to your preacher or a spiritual leader about this that can help you become a christian and answer any questions that you might have.

Within the teachings of that faith, the most likely answer is 'no'. Most Christian thinkers today teach that as humans, you are doomed to sin, but that you will always have the opportunity to sincerely ask for (and receive) forgiveness.
Though, interestingly, in the past (say 1600s) it was thought you may go to hell if you sinned and then died before you had a chance to repent. It was for this reason that Hamlet, in Shakespeare's play, waited to kill his father's murderer... because he found him praying and asking forgiveness.
Hamelt decided to wait so as to get him later, when he had had an opportunity to sin again, and thus be unclean.
T.M.I.? Prolly. :)

Do not be deceived you must stop sinning even as a Christian or you will go to hell. Once you truly give your life to the Lord your desires will change and you will no longer want to sin. Those who practice sin and sin every day are not truly saved. If you want more hit me up. JP

Nope - once your saved, you're always saved. At least, that's the way the Gospel has been taught to me. Isn't it great that we aren't condemned for our mistakes, but can be embraced in forgiveness by a loving father who knows that we aren't capable of being perfect? That was the point of Him sending Christ as our salvation.
That's said, not to give you permission to continue to sin willfully but as an encouragement that you can be confident of complete forgiveness of your sins; past, present and future!
Be blessed and encouraged!

No. That's the short answer. If you become a christian your whole life will be changed. Sin will become something that you don't want to do any more, sin in your life will become rare.
A person that thinks they are a christian and yet continues to live a sinful life is deceiving them self.
"If any man be in Christ, he is a new creation, behold, old things pass away, behold, all things become new. (2 Cor 5:17)

I believe that once you are saved you need to continue to walk in God's light but if you walk completely away from God then yes you will lose you salvation. Commiting one sin doesn't send a person to hell. Confess your sin and God will forgive you. Just because one becomes a Christian it doesn't mean you can go and do whatever you want because you have "fire insurance". Many churches today are in error because they teach that one can't lose their salvation but that simply isn't true.

I dont think anyone is perfect, I am catholic and I dont follow the rules very strictly, but God is know for forgiveness. I think he knows we cant be perfect, if we were, WE would be God. I think as long as you try to be a good christian and mean well but still sin occasionally, I dont think its a big deal. Well thats my opinion. And we Catholics get to go to confession and spill our guts about all the sinning we do. Maybe you should try being a Catholic instead... LOL. Isnt it odd?? We arent suppose to sin, but our religion basically gives us a free pass after we do it by confessing.... I am gonna get so much hate mail for my answer, but let it be know that I believe in God, I love God and talk to God but I am gonna be me. God put me here for a reason and wanted me to be happy. I do the occassional sinning, sometimes a little too much, but I dont cause harm to others or anything like that, but I know God knows I am a generally good person and I try to do good. So I think I have a spot in heaven! See you there!
