There is a lot of fossil evidence, how could we doubt about the existence of dinosaurs?
The order of the creation "days" explained in Genesis matches perfectly with the scientific models and their duration could be of thousands and maybe millions of years. We that in mind we could read that during the fifth day God created "monsters". That its perfectly logic and compressible if we take in count that the day before that one (thousands of years before) the earth had been growing a huge quantity of vegetation. Again the Bible facts perfectly agree with the science. After their "job" have been done, dinosaurs disappeared some how.
About our name, we give testimony of God, so it's perfectly right to be called Witnesses, Jehovah's Witnesses. In legal therms, a person who give testimony of anything or any who should be someone who knows perfectly the facts or an special preparation, (studies or professional skills) that makes him an expert in that area or subject. JW spend their lives learning, teaching and preaching Jehovah God's word... do u think that they should be called any other name than that?
We preach for two principal reasons, in obedience to the order of Christ (Matthew 28:19, 20) and because according with the "signs" of the end, is a really urgent mission (Matthew 24:14).
English is not my principal language, but I hope this info could be clear enough to help you in your research.

Where do you live? There must be some real, in-the-flesh Jehovah's Witnesses around who could personally answer your questions. You might especially ask them for copies of the Awake! magazine that often deal with scientific subjects.
Apart from that, you have been given some good answers here, so I won't repeat them.
I just think that it is best to learn about what Jehovah's Witnesses believe and teach from people who actually are Jehovah's Witnesses, rather than to rely on hearsay.
Best wishes on your school assignment.

Topic: Dinossaurs
The Bible does mention dinosaurs. Genesis 1:21 refers to "the great sea monsters" that Jehovah produced on the 5th creative day. An alternative rendering for "sea monsters" is great reptiles. That is exactly what dinosaurs were--great reptiles.
Apparently, Jehovah created the giant reptiles to serve the ecology by converting massive amounts of verdant plant material into compost and topsoil.
At some point, though, Jehovah's purpose concerning the great reptiles was concluded. Whether the dinosaurs were destroyed by some great extinction event before the deluge, or whether by the great deluge itself, certainly the fossil record bears much evidence of a global cataclysm that drastically changed the earth and caused the great reptilian monsters to suddenly vanish.
Question: Why would Jehovah need a witness?
Jehovah God first called the nation of Israel his witnesses because he witness no strange false gods in their mist. They only worshipped the one true God, Jehovah.
Today, Jehovah's Witnesses do the same by only worshipping Jehovah rather then some strange trinity god.
IS 43:12 “I myself have told forth and have saved and have caused it to be heard, when there was among you no strange god. So you are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah, “and I am God."

Reading stuff like this " the witnesses believe in the creation of the world in 7 days just as lots of religions do."
Is the Reason why People should not get their imfomation send hand. Jehovah Witnesses are not Creationists who believe that the world was created In 6-7 days.
Jehovah’s Witnesses believe the creation account as recorded in the Bible book of Genesis. However, Jehovah’s Witnesses are not what you might think of as creationists. Why not? First, many creationists believe that the universe and the earth and all life on it were created in six 24-hour days some 10,000 years ago. This, however, is not what the Bible teaches. Also, creationists have embraced many doctrines that lack support in the Bible. Jehovah’s Witnesses base their religious teachings solely on God’s Word.
Furthermore, in some lands the term “creationist” is synonymous with Fundamentalist groups that actively engage in politics. These groups attempt to pressure politicians, judges, and educators into adopting laws and teachings that conform to the creationists’ religious code.

The Bible mentions animals that many believe to be dinosaurs. Clearly the fossils also indicate they exist. I personally have never seen a live one, asside from Jurasic Park (great movie):D.
The world was created by God, as for how, that is a very detailed question.
Does he "need" a Witness, no, but just like you would want to share a helpful cooking tip, we wish to offer to share the wonderful teachings of the Bible.
We call ourselves Jehovah's Witnesses, in reference to the fact that we offer a witness, ie, testimony, about Jehovah.
Honestly, I think your best bet is to call a local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. That way you know the answers are actually coming from a Witness.

"HOW WAS THE WORLD CREATED", AND WHERE DO THE DINOSAURS FIT INTO THIS TIMELINE?
Billions of years could have passed (and probably did, considering the scientific evidence) between the statement "In the beginning, God created the heavens and earth" (Gen. 1:1) and the next sentence in Gen. 1:2.
When God started to actually prepare the earth for human habitation, however, each creative 'day' was most likely figurative in nature and not literal 24 hour periods. This is evidenced by processes such as dry land appearing (vs 9) and grass growing, vegetation bearing seed according to its kind and trees yielding fruit (vs.12). All of this couldn't possibly have happened naturally in 24 hours. BUT if each creative 'day' was figurative, the actual lengths of these could have been hundreds, thousands, perhaps even millions of years in length.
So when the scientific evidence shows us that the dinosaurs existed many millions of years ago, this is completely compatable with the Genesis account when acknowledging that a creative 'day' is not literal day, i.e. "back in my father's day."

Hi,
I am glad that you asked, I am sending you some information thru some links that I am sending to you. There are links attached to this one that you will see in blue on the side of the article and if you click on them it will take you to them. There is all the information you would want. You can have it in any language you want if you click on the language link at the top of the article. There is Scripture quoted so that you can see for yourself in your own bible. We preach in over 200 lands around the world because that is what Jesus instructed his disciples to do, to be fishers of men and to preach the good news through out the entire inhabited earth. In his due time the earth will suffer his judgement at Armageddon after each one has had an opportunity to make a choice as to whom he will serve; the ruler of this system of things who is Satan, or Jehovah God. Remember in Noah's day although they were warned, that they were eating and drinking and being given in marriage until the flood came and swept them all away, they took no note. Jehovah's Witnesses would like you to know the good news of God's Kingdom and the hope we have in his promises to live in a better system. He did not intend for us to suffer and experience the things that surround us today but it was our first parents Adam and Eve that made a bad decision and caused death to come to all mankind. It is his loving provision to us thru his son Jesus Christ that we have forgiveness of sin and the opportunity for everlasting life. It is our responsibility to take the time to see for ourselves what he requires in order to have this opportunity and to build our faith so that we can uphold his righteous standards and not be swayed by this system of things. He has lovingly given us freedom of choice and we should use it to our advantage.
Here is a paragraph from the link I am sending:
JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES believe in Almighty God, Jehovah, Creator of the heavens and the earth. The very existence of the intricately designed wonders in the universe surrounding us reasonably argues that a supremely intelligent and powerful Creator produced it all. Just as the works of men and women reflect their qualities, so do those of Jehovah God. The Bible tells us that "his invisible qualities are clearly seen from the world's creation onward, because they are perceived by the things made." Also, without voice or words, "the heavens are declaring the glory of God."—Romans 1:20; Psalm 19:1-4.
Also here is an article on animal creation and Job:

It was Jehovah God who spoke of his people as witnesses, saying: “You are my witnesses, . . . and I am God.” (Isa. 43:12) And it was Jehovah’s Son, Christ Jesus, who said: “You will be witnesses of me . . . to the most distant part of the earth.” It was the apostle Paul who referred to Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac and the prophets as “so great a cloud of witnesses.” (Acts 1:8; Heb. chap. 11; 12:1) So witnesses of Jehovah existed all the way back to Abel.
(Genesis 1:1-2) In [the] beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth proved to be formless and waste and there was darkness upon the surface of [the] watery deep; and God’s active force was moving to and fro over the surface of the waters.

Jehovah's Witnesses believe that the earth is many thousands, millions, or billions of years old. True science agrees with the bible.
Jehovah's Witnesses both witness personally and bear witness to others regarding God's personal name, his majestic personality, and Kingdom purposes. In doing so, they align themselves with Jesus Christ and the prophets.
...(Isaiah 43:10) “You are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah
...(Isaiah 43:12) So you are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah, “and I am God.
...(Hebrews 12:1-2) Because we have so great a cloud of [Jehovah's] witnesses surrounding us, let us also put off every weight and the sin that easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, as we look intently at the Chief Agent and Perfecter of our faith, Jesus
...(Revelation 1:5) Jesus Christ, “the Faithful Witness”

http://jw-media.org/people/ministry.htm
Really, everyone who respects and obeys Jesus Christ goes from door to door to teach his neighbors about the Bible's good news. It is interesting that only Jehovah's Witnesses are so clearly identified with the preaching work; globally more than 6 million preach publicly each month.
(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you.
(Acts 5:42) Every day in the temple and from house to house they continued without letup teaching and declaring the good news about the Christ, Jesus.
(Acts 20:20) I did not hold back ...from teaching you publicly and from house to house
It's sad when someone who claims to respect the bible actually insults or even advocates attacking a peaceful preacher. Sad but completely expected.
(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching... You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.
Really, if someone goes out of their way to disregard Christian preachers and preaching, what is he saying about himself?
(Luke 10:1-17) After these things the Lord designated seventy others and sent them forth by twos... “He that listens to you listens to me too. And he that disregards you disregards me too. Moreover, he that disregards me disregards also him that sent me forth.”
