i have cut all ties to my so called family. apprently my adoption at 9 days old wasnt legal. so i have quit speaking to my family.
emails and phone calls state they are planning to come for a visit. if i put up a no tresspassing sign and they come to my door
can i take legal action? nothing else has worked to keep them away, this is a last resort. they have money and think they can do what they please. no one has told them no to much of anything, they think they well are above the law. i have blocked their number but they keep using other phones.
i havent made contact in any way form or fashion, they just cant stand to be told no.
are there any other ways i can keep them away. they even tried to have my child taken away, which didnt work the police and all involved told them they have no grandparents rights in texas, so legally they cant do anything, it helps to have cps and other legal people telling you what they can and cant do.

here is the situation, i was taken from my home, my name was changed and the hid me from my real parents so it would look like desertion on their part. i ask them to be truthful and they called attorneys trying to get my son-their grandson, and claim i was an unfit mother
i have proff of all of this. i told my brother i wish not to reconnect with them.
since may they have tried relentless persuit to stay in touch. they have money but this time the law is on my side, also since i want legally adopted they have no rights to my son as granparents.

You maybe able to go to the police and swear out a trespass warning. Or you may have to wait till they actually show up call the police and, ask them to issue a trespass warning. If they return you can then have them charged with criminal trespassing. Unless there is a trespass warning issued a sign is not enough to charge someone with trespassing in Texas unless they are there to commit a criminal act.

People that put up 'No Trespassing" signs are wasting their time. It's laughable. Private property is private property period. If you don't want some one on your property or they don't have permission from you to be there then they are trespassing. If someone really wants to be on your property for whatever reason, do you really think that a sign will stop them?

I'm curious about your adoption situation though. Not quite sure why you are disowning your family. Did they abduct you? Snatch you from the arms of your birth mother at gunpoint? Buy you off the black market? What is their crime in your eyes? I'm a firm believer in eliminating 'toxic' people from your life but don't make snap, anger-based decisions.

Apparently so. In Texas, criminal trespass is performed when a person "enters or remains on or in property, including an aircraft or other vehicle, of another without effective consent or he enters or remains in a building of another without effective consent and he:
(1) had notice that the entry was forbidden"

"(2) “Notice” means:
(A) oral or written communication by the owner or someone with apparent authority to act for the owner;
(B) fencing or other enclosure obviously designed to exclude intruders or to contain livestock;
(C) a sign or signs posted on the property or at the entrance to the building, reasonably likely to come to the attention of intruders, indicating that entry is forbidden;"

http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/publications/nonpwdpubs/water_issues/rivers/navigation/riddell/trespass.phtml

"Criminal trespass is normally a Class B misdemeanor with a fine up to $2,000 and a jail term up to 180 days."

Once you post your property, people who come on it anyway will be trespassing. And yes, you can have them arrested for trespassing. You can also go to the court clerk and file a restraining order to keep these people away from you and your child, but you have to list the reason(s).

Put up a sign. If they come on your property call the police and they can serve them a no trespass citation, if they come back they will be arrested.

Trespassing can be directly filed in court against persons even without a sign.

You don't even need a sign. If they are told to leave, and refuse, that is trespass. Call the police.
