Before my son went to Iraq we sat down and did a lot of talking and this subject came up and he ( Which he is a Marine ) asked me to never act like Cindy Sheenhan, He said she disrespected her son and what he stood for. My son told me if I did ANYTHING like that he would never talk to me again and he would NOT want me to visit his grave.
I can't understand what Mrs Sheenhan feels cause my son survived Iraq (But was hurt there on Dec 14th) But I know how it feels losing a Marine son cause Feb 3rd 2007 my son was murdered while on leave for his cousin's death and I can say honestly that the Marines was there for our family and still are.
My question to Mrs Sheehan is, How can you dishonor your son's name like you did? He was a hero and always will be in my eyes and it helps knowing one day I'll see my son at Heavens gates with his Marine brothers and I'll be able to hold my head up high when I greet them.

Cindy Sheehan has outlived her usefulness to anyone. She has made more of a fool of herself than an abundance of mothers who protest the war. If she were my mother I'd have written a will to disown her before I was killed. My mother disagreed with my decision to join the Navy in 1973, but she never said anything to me or anyone else about it, and that is because she respected my decision. Sheehan obviously has no concept of her son's desires or patriotism.

Irrelevant question, seeing you would be dead, and the U.S. is a democracy then Mrs. Sheehan and your Mom would feel free to do what she wants!
After all their in nothing more cherished than a Mothers love for her children.
When going to Lebanon I never told my Mother till a couple of days before I left. But she still worried about me until I returned home, sadly 3 Mothers and two wives lost their husbands during my tour.

As a military wife I feel very sorry for Cindy Sheehan. She is mad at the world for the freedom she is receiving from the sacrifice her son made for her. She is not living in the real world. I was scared to death when my husband was in Iraq. Yes I was one of the lucky ones - he came home uninjured. I just wish Ms Sheehan would reliaze she is saying she is not proud of the choices and life her son choose. She is showing her disappointment in his peronality, which to be honest, she in part created.

She's turned into a media wh*re just like Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and a lot of others...out here in Kansas we have to deal with the likes of Rev. Fred Phelps and the Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka. Their gig is to go demonstrate at military funerals and try to turn a solemn service for a fallen soldier into a circus. Their (idiot) contention is that soldiers K.I.A. are God's vengeance for letting gays into the military. How f**ked is that? Anyway, that's why there's a Patriot Guard and American Legion Riders. When they start their crap out where the family might have to hear it, we put our bikes between them and the family and start 'em up. Harleys drown out protesters pretty handily...K ;o)

Amen, Brother! Cindy Sheehan dishonored her son by her actions! When you sign up you know what the consequences are. He wasn't drafted.

as a mother (or a wife), i could not, would not!!! dishonor, disrespect, be so disloyal and degrading to my sons (or my husband!!!) i cant see my self not supporting the war and the troops even if i didnt have family in the military, i am too proud, and feel too fortunate to have been born here in this wonderful country! My sons (and husband) have chosen to serve this country and yes, they know they may pay the ultimate sacrifice. that doesnt mean it would be easy for me to lose any of them, but to protest what they are so proud of, what they love would be disgraceful! it is an honor to say my husband and my sons are American Soldiers!

I thank GOD everyday for my mother and I know she wouldn't even think of doing such a thing. She has had her two eldest sons retire from the military and l am in my 22nd year. She has always been extremely proud of us all and 'til this day still braggs about us to anyone and everyone!!
Not to mention the "WALL OF FAME" (as she calls it) in her living room for all to see!

I made sure I told my mom that I would not approve if she did that as soon as they started parading Sheehan around.

I don't know if you had heard, but Cindy wasn't on speaking terms with her son for some time before he died.
Nothing like the love and support of a mother (really, NOTHING like the love and support of a mother!)
