My little nephew was walking out of the lunchroom with a bag of cheezits. Now in his school students are not allowed to eat in the hallways. A teacher seen him and his friend, walked over and took the bag out of his hand. As she was walking away my nephew noticed that she started to eat the cheezits herself.

I found it hilarious, but is it right?

Must have been a hungry teacher!
Teacher should follow same rules as students re: hallway eating. If adults show no respect for the rule, how can students be expected to be respectful

The teacher set a bad example. It isn't fair for teachers to expect their students to follow one set of rules while they follow another. But at the same time that teacher showed your nephew a little something about life in the real world, and what happens between people who have a certain level of power over others.
Typically if the one holding the power is one of weak & corrupted morals, then they will abuse their power, and show how they have no integrity.

I think it's more of a sad statement on the quality of this individual than it is to be taken as funny.

Haha thats crazy. I wouldn't grab a kid's food and eat it. I'd trash it. You never know if the kid had a cold or done something with it. Plus if they're enforcing no food in the hallway to the students, the teachers should follow that rule too because the teachers work there and it seems only fair. :)

Sounds wrong for the teacher to have done that. What is she teaching the children? I would probably have sent her an email if I were his mom just to let her know she'd been caught. Or maybe I'd have sent her a basket of Cheezits for Christmas, to see if she got my drift.

No,it is not right. However, your nephew knows the rules of his school, and should have followed them in the first place.Encourage his parents to speak with the particular teacher about the situation first. If that does not get results, then they need to speak with the principal.I have been having to defend my kids from teachers inconsiderate rudness for a number of years now.Usually,if you bring it up to the teacher, they will correct their mistake as well as try to be more conscious of their actions.Remember, teachers are human too, thus they make mistakes.

your nephew broke the rules. That was wrong. The teacher ate the food. That was wrong.

Sure it is right. School never was about equality. Hadn't you noticed that?

Same applies when people are late. Student gets detention...teacher....er... nothing happens.

All people are equal but some are more equal.

I think it is right hat she copped the crackers, but I find it deplorable that she used the confiscated goods - and in plain sight! What was she thinking???
