i've have pink eye in both eyes for 5 days. i started taking eye drops 3 days ago and i think it made my eyes worse. red lines are crawling up from the corners of my eyes and i am still getting pus, but not as much as before when my eyes wouldn't open in the morning. i can't tell if what i have is viral or bacterial and i don't know if i should stop the drops or not, and im not applying so much because im getting scared.i get blurry vision very often and i couldn't read half my questions on my science test. i know i shouldn't be touching my eyes but i can't help it, the pus is too stiff and painful whenever i blink. i have a really bad cold as well and i don't know if it's from pink eye or not. i don't tear much and the pus is only at the corners of my eyes now and sometimes they are really sticky. i also need to know how long it would take for my eyes to get better.i know i asked a lot but i am worried and i can't stop thinking about my eyes. whoever can answer me will be my hero.

The fact that you have alot of pus associated with the infection makes it highly likely that you have a BACTERIAL infection. It is very probable that the infection in your eyes has come from your "really bad cold". So you really need to be treated with an ORAL anitbiotic to deal with both the eye infection and the original source of the infection -- your upper respiratory infection. The only way you can get antibiotics is to go in to a doctor and get a prescription. The sooner you go in the sooner you're going to feel better. Hope this helped.

Keep taking the drops, I once had pink eye in both eyes for a month! Its just a bad infection and takes longer time to heal.

Pink eye usually lasts seven to fourteen days. I would keep you child out of school an extra day after it is gone just to be safe. Hope this helps.

Buy yourself a box of raisins and eat them. You are needing some nutrition. If you overall clean up your diet (more fruits and veggies) no dairy products (they cause mucus) and eat lots of raisins, you should see an improvement in a day or two. Keep up the raisens for at least a week.

WTF?!?!?!? Why are you using regular eye drops? This does not have any medicinal value whatsoever! You have to get yourself to a doctor and get the correct medication for pink eye or conjuctivius. This will not go away on it's own and it will only get worse! They will get you a perscription of eye drops that will get rid of it but it will hurt worse than the pink eye itself but it will fix it. What are you waiting for and why have your parents seen or did anything for this??? AFTER
5DAYS? They should be arrested for child abuse!

DO YOU WANT TO GO BLIND!????
