The History Channel and mainstream Christianity are both adament that DaVinci Code is made up. But given the culture Jesus lived in, if he truly was in his 30s and still single, he would have been a social outcast for that reason alone, never mind anything he may have taught back then.

The Golden Compass is fantasy. I have yet to meet any talking polar bears who wear armor, etc etc or come across anyone else who has.

I think that the Da Vinci Code brings up some very interesting subjects that may or may not be rooted in fact.

But the Golden Compass? Are you serious? It has talking Polar Bears and flying people.

I don't think there is a world were souls exist as Daemons. I also read the disclaimer in the da Vinci Code where it says that the book is fiction and takes liberties with religious history.

So no, I don't think they're true.

They are obviously fantasy as even the authors of the stories have stated it. What I don't understand is why some Christians seem to be so unsure of their beliefs that they feel the need to censor anything that might contradict them. It's a movie, just like the Passion of the Christ was a movie, you can choose to watch it or not but no need to try to censor it.

The Da Vinci Code is classified by libraries as a book of fiction.

It is irresponsible and offensive for Brown to impugn the faith of countless Catholics. He has no solid evidence to support his contentions, and in the absence of such evidence it is unacceptable to smear the faith of millions with his charges.

Claiming that Catholics have been killing the descendants of their God is a vile and unacceptable assault on their faith. People of all faiths should regard Dan Brown as the viciously bigoted man that it takes to make this kind of charge.

Um...no.

I personally am going out on a limb to say that there are no Armored Bears with Kingdoms in the North Pole. Mock me for my beliefs if you will. I've said it. I regret nothing!
