I heard something about a fence, or a wall?? I dont know, and can you provide a website where I can look up details (how long it is, how long its been around, who ordered it to be built, etc)

Nothing, not 1 single thing. There was border check points but they are gone now. Perhaps you are getting mixed up with Berlin, oh wait they don't even have a wall now.

When there was still ongoing conflict in Northern Ireland- "the troubles"- there were heavily guarded border checkpoints. These no longer exist. In West Belfast there is a wall which was built to separate Catholic areas from Protestant ones. It became known as the "peace wall". There were many other barriers which were built to try and decrease the levels of violence between the two communities. Go to Google and type in "Belfast peace wall".
