I would like to suggest that you window shop (Per se) Go to different denominations of churches.. If you don`t feel anything, Move on, God is NOT in the house.. You will find the right home for you.

The road to God is not instant. There are many paths and we all take a different one. None is right, and none is wrong. What guides me down the path may not guide you at all.. Ask God to make it crystal clear for you.. He does hear you..

Peace & God bless from Texas <><

You should believe what you think the Bible is teaching you. I was married to a Pentecostal man and I went to church with him for almost a year and I felt smothered and stagnant. I felt like God was not love but fear. You should be able to worship how you see fit. if he disagrees with it, who cares?? Do you want to spend your life pleasing someone else and neglecting yourself? I broke away and never regretted it once. I never thought Pentecostals were truly happy people, they just seemed so brainwashed.

You should tell him exactly what you just told me. If you are totally honest w/him upfront you'll remain friends. If he hears it from someone else he won't as easily understand. Just pray and ask God to lead you about the issues you question. He will show you just like he did me and many others. But, you are right. God is our judge, not man. God Bless!

If you feel uncomfortable, you shouldn't push yourself. you could end up turning away from religion. Visit a few churches, get to know other religions, you will know when you find what your looking for and you will know god placed you there!
