I feel that we all have a presence and are capable of enlightenment. To recognize it in another, that would make you perceptive, which is a common trait of enlightened people.

Okey when I say that I am drawn to some of my teachers in college means that I am drawn towards their methods of teaching and them being good teachers which makes everything easier for me.And yes these people tend to be enlightened people and I guess you could say that I am drawn towards change, knowledge and being pushed. Also I recognize what they have to say or do.By bf is another story because since we got to know each other in 2005 I saw something really good in him which is him being such an enlightened person and you could say that I enjoy being in the company of others who are on the same page as I am.

Yes.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abraham_Maslow
'Maslow saw human beings' needs arranged like a ladder. The most basic needs, at the bottom, were physical -- air, water, food, sex. Then came safety needs -- security, stability -- followed by psychological, or social needs -- for belonging, love, acceptance. At the top of it all were the self-actualizing needs '
'Maslow postulated that needs are arranged in a hierarchy in terms of their potency. Although all needs are instinctive, some are more powerful than others. The lower the need is in the pyramid, the more powerful it is. The higher the need is in the pyramid, the weaker and more distinctly human it is. The lower, or basic, needs on the pyramid are similar to those possessed by non-human animals, but only humans possess the higher needs.'
The Will is positive, the Judgment is negative.

No, I'm drawn to an enlightened person because I think THEY have Presence. I'm looking for Presence and they have it. Maybe they can teach me what I need to learn in order to also have Presence. This is an interesting question, because the people I feel drawn to, once I get to know them, are always spiritual people. Never once have I ever been attracted to anyone who did not believe in a Power greater than we. How do I know??? :-) I believe it's because God, or our Higher Power, draws us to the people, places, and things we need in order for us to learn what we need to know to live fulfilled lives. God's ultimate purpose for my life is for me to live a fulfilled life.

Not always True
sometimes one is drawn by ones own perception of what they would like in someone else...and may i point out the words ( WHAT THEY WANT)...........
and it is written "one is Drawn away by ones own lusts "
sometimes we think what we want is right when in reality it may not be..........one may have knowledge and wisdom concerning these things you refer to yet in thier life behind closed doors they are totally the oppisite...........as the saying goes "All that glitters isnt gold "
If one is looking for a partner...one should ask God and be patient enough to get an answer...just cause it tickles your fancy , doesnt mean it wont hurt later on !!!!!!
SEEK GOD

sometimes..we notice that we just need to know things, and, we have probably heard these things before..but, all of a sudden, "this person puts it in a way that makes perfect sense!" now, whether we were in the right place at the right time, were grown up enough to hear that, our hearts and minds were "ground ready" to receive the seed...or we were just "spiritualy starving" and the food smelled good on the table! Does it matter? I mean, if you are enjoying it and absorbing it, and it's good for you...does it matter? "Peace!"

Just the opposite. I think we are drawn to those who have
the seeds of our own completion in their rhetoric. I think
we recognize the qualities that we need to incorporate
within ourselves in another and are drawn to it this way.

I believe it's because you have the ability to recognize voids in ourselves, and seek to fill these voids. Sometimes at extreme costs.
