I just signed up for DISH network, I have an HDTV, have the HD/DVR receiver, and subscribe to the HD package. Of course now I don't know how to get the LOCAL HD stations for football or other HD Programing. I have the regular local stations (CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX) just not the HD versions any more. Anyone have any suggestions??

I am thrilled that we have provided you with service and I want you to get the most out of it!

The requirements to receive local channels in HD are as followed:

1.) A HD DVR or standard HD receiver.
2.) Your local programming package.
3.) The DishHD High-Definition Package (currently 6-months free)

After these requirements are met, you must be in a geographical area that offers HD local channels. The majority of the populous cities have HD channels available in their area.

It all depends where you live.
It may be that Dish is still not overing local HD channels in your area. Most probably Dish needs to install one more Dish receiver in one of your dishes.
Call Dish and ask how to get local channels in HD.
