Research some exercises that both tone and shape the buttocks, maybe learn some sexy moves (if you don't know them already), wear some sexy outfits/undies that accentuate your "assets" as you call it and above all...just have fun, and don't worry too much about it. If he really is an a.s.s. man, then he should be quite happy with any of these suggestions, and you'll most likely be happy with the results too.

Wear cloths that 'Hint' about the shape. Bend over from the waist when picking something up to add emphasis (gives you a bit of a stomach workout that tightens that area up as well) Much better than just the occasional slapping of it, or swishing it in his view.

lean over on a desk when your writing something and stick it out slightly but try not to look too slutty.
if one of your friends is singing a fast song [hip hop is best] shake it just a little bit
switch your hips slightly when you walk by

How about a "thong of the month" club for the two of you? You of course would have to get the thongs, and if he doesn't like your choice, he should be made to help you shop (online) for one he'd like to see you in...temporarily [heh, heh]

Wear jeans that flatter your bum! I think Cosmopolitan or Seventeen had an issue about jeans that flatter certain bum types. Try looking that up

Do exercises daily to tighten it up! If he's already your man, why not ask him what he likes? If he's not your man yet, be just a little affectionate--but not too much.

make sure it's clean. nothing is more of a turn off than a stinky bottom. I myself go for the eyes, than the stomach.
