We are not disembodied spirits, we need the visual to help us recall to mind those we love, pictures of Jesus and Mary, are quite edifying to me when in prayer. they lift the mind and heart, as does beautiful chanting and beautiful church music. as music opens the heart, so does the visual.

We don't have any paintings in the sanctuary. However, we do have flower arrangements on the altar, sconces on the wall, etc. During Christmas they will put a tree on the podium. They often have an arrangement of some sort set up on the piano. Nothing on a grand scale. Just a touch of class/color.
