I haven't used rose petals myself for tea, but if I did, I would make sure they are organic. I often use rosehips for tea. I get organic in that as well. More than the kind of rose, it is more important to know if it is pesticide free and food-safe. If you don't have rose petals, you can always fragrance a tea with a few drops of rose water, which you can buy at may ethnic grocers or large markets.

Attracting insects for pollination?
Thats the main reason for flowers, the be bright an visable so that the insects will come down and get covered in the pollen.

Love is the most common thing it is used for.You buy it for a girlfreind on special "love occasions".Like valentines day,anniversery,brithday,wedding.Or just a common I LOVE YOU!!. It is also reverd to as a parting gift or getting back together gift.hope i helped ya!

So that when the boys grow up, they know what to look for !
In the middle east, (persians) they make
"rose pedal" drink/tea and ice cream(no joke)
The ice cream is good !
