Soulful Kris-- I also disbelieve god, however if faced with convincing proof, I might fall in line with the fundies if the threatened consequenses were also true.

You don't have to like your boss to kiss his rear end. But some people still kiss anyways--it is your job after all.

I guess if the alternative was being burned forever in Hell, sure, I'd do it.

Proven as in; a basic existence? That wouldn't mean much. Unless of course he then clarified what on Earth all of the Bible meant and why the interpretations of it are wrong. And why all of the other religions were wrong.
If the interpretations aren't wrong, if the facts are actually true and He thinks those things and did those deeds, why would I worship him? What makes you think that he'd want to be worshipped anyway?
If He could prove Himself to ME, not as in just basic existence but that he was at all a good being, I might consider being his friend. Maybe. But he'd have a lot of talking to do.

I already know the nature of the Judeo-Christian soul mash-up called Jehovah. It exists but it is NOT a god by any means. I am venomously opposed to the angels that created the damned thing. May the Gods grind their souls to dust.

If the Judeo-Christian deity was empirically proved I would acknowledge that it existed as a real entity. However, I could not in good conscience worship a deity that can't do itself as it asks/demands of others. I'm a pacifist and that particular deity as shown in the bible has too much blood on its hands for me.

Yes. If you could prove that something that has basically proven itself to be untrue (The Bible) is indeed true, then I would believe it. But "proving" the existence of God might be harder to prove than the existence of the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

Well, I would have no choice but to believe it exists... But I wouldn't bow to or worship it. It would still be the same genocidal prick described in the Bible.

I'm not worshiping any deity.
I have more self-respect than to grovel.
Even if such a creature created me (which it didn't), I would think it would have little respect for sycophants and beggars.

I would never worship that ******. I'd be a Satanist.
I'm only kidding. But, no, I wouldn't worship it.

Sure, if he gave me lots of money. Oh wait, those who receive vast amounts of money in the name of god are called Evangelicals. "Remember kids, you can't spell Evangelical without e.v.i.l.!"
