I don't get it. What would a Russian cosmonaut (or an American astronaut, or anyone else, for that matter) tossing a teapot (cracked or otherwise) into space prove?

I love the teapot theory. suggesting a russion astronaught put it there ruins it though. the point is that using having a lack of disproof does not prove something.

I would have little reason to disbelieve their act, but it wouldn't be something I would care about too much. Also, it would have little to do with Russel's teapot.
