What's your idea of geek-chic? What makes some nerds adorable/sexy, while others are a complete turn off?
I'm taking my 23-year-old nerdy guy friend shopping and need some ideas on how he can start attracting girls without denying his inner geek! :-) Thanks a bunch!

Teach him how to dress. A guy doesn't have to look like his mom dressed him this morning to be a geek.
You can't learn to have a sense of humor. You're either born with it or you're not. There's no two ways about it.

$$$. And the knowledge that most of the 'cool kids' in high school and college end up like Al Bundy.
It's the geeks that get good jobs, cash, and eventually the hotties. The jocks go to the local bar and drink when they are done with their crappy jobs and talk about the good old days when they actually mattered because they scored a touchdown in the big game at Podunk High.

Find girls that are into the same things!!
I love my geeky boyfriend because hes a geek and hes confident. That is the key. Plus, I've always been slightly interested in the things he was already into, so it just kind of worked!!

Things that make a geek hot, rather than just a geek.
Confidence.
Ease in social situations.
Drug use.
Buffness.
Chick pants.

well geeks have a tendency to wear short pants and high socks! that's a complete turnoff!
And you should make him get a cute haircut!

um...well nerds when you can look at them and tell they are a nerd are not attractive to me. sorry if that is superficial but yeah. just dress normal and i dont know. dont talk about nerdy stuff??

sense of humor, self-confidence, dress funky--not nerdy. I know some hottt nerdy musicians:) It's all in their personal style.

ummmmm........loose the glasses if he has? get a funky hairstyle! new clothes with cool patterns. shoes are always important 2. no business shoes yuck. something cool and comfortable. when i shop i always remember "breezy not sleazy".
