I got a 680 fps crosman air rifle. It can dent or not, even go through them. I was just wondering, can a co2 operated handgun (400 fps) kill a person?

Can guns that shoot out yellow plastic bbs kill someone too? Like 350 FPS (AKs, MP5s, M4) THX

Any gun can kill. It's very unlikely that the weapons described will kill someone, but they can. It's about damaging the correct tissue and an opportunity for infection. Even minor cuts can kill. Infection is a real danger. Further, there are vulnerable spots on the body.

There are documented incidents of severe brain damage with almost no side-effects. There are documents of minor brain injuries that kill. No one can predict which injuries will do what. Just be safe. ANYTHING can kill. AND...NOT everything will.

Yes, it can. Although it isn't likely, it can happen. It can happen with your Crosman, a CO2 or an Airsoft (plastic bb) gun.
Be a responsible shooter. Don't point your gun at anything you don't intend to shoot. And remember-your gun (that includes your 350fps gun) is NOT A TOY. Treat it like a toy and you may not only hurt/injure/maim/kill someone, you may end up losing your right to ever touch one again-and your cellmate might enjoy your company more than you'd like.

An air soft pellet? Almost certainly not.
A CO2 or airgun at 400 fps +? Most certainly yes.
I won't tell you where, but yes, there are places
where a hit by a pellet might kill.

There are a few cases of fatal wounds from a bb or pellet gun. I have not heard of any with Airsoft guns but if you do not take precautions, to quote the greatest movie ever "you'll shoot your eye out"

No, it is just a gun, an inanimate object...it can't kill. Guns don't kill, people kill.

That being said, it is possible, though unlikely, that somebody could shoot a co2 handgun and kill a person under the right conditions.

It very well could cause death. Might not be by penetration but it could break the skin and then the body would start to break down the lead causing lead poisoning or it could cause a really bad bruise would could cause a blood clot that could break away and flow back to the heart and cause it to clog up and you could die or just become a drooling moron because your buddy said it wouldn't hurt and shot you with it. and the blood clot made it to your brain causing a stroke then he would freak out and just leave you there laying in the pool of your own excrement. causing brain damage.

SO if you want to be the next Johnny Knoxville then go for it let your Buddy shoot you with your pellet gun then post it on you tube.

YES.........All it would take is a Pellet in the eye or the soft portion of the throat and you could easily kill someone. Why would you even ask such a question? Any type of projectile has the ability to kill under the right circumstances..

Definitely not. It is rare for a plastic airsoft bb to even break the skin. However, the CO2 gun could be quite a bit more injurious to a person. Never shoot a metal bb at another person.

A pellet handgun, can definitely kill a person, but not necessarily by shooting the person. the best way, would be to get real close to the intended target & beat the sucker on the head, till said person quits breathing. during the beating, just hope the person getting beaten, doesn't pull a real gun & start shooting you

mmm I am going to say yes. I have no proof or evidence. But, there is always possibility. Shoot them in the wrong place at the wrong time.

So don't take the chance.
