Some religions don't allow women to show their hair, or their face, for that matter.

They think their prophet decrees this and that is enough for them.

In 1 Timothy 2:9-10, it says, "I also want women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God."

Some people think this means literally, that women should not have hair-dos or wear jewelry, but Paul is saying that women should think of their good deeds as their most important adornments, not their fancy get-ups.

In Paul's letter to the Corinthians, he was asked about men and women covering their heads during worship. It was the custom of the day for women to wear a head veil. he was supporting the wearing of the head veil by saying that women's long hair is a symbol of that veil, because women always had long hair.
"If a woman does not cover her head, she should have her hair cut off; and if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut (shorn off) or shaved off, she should cover her head."
There are some Christians today who believe that he meant that women should not cut their hair, and some that believe that a woman's head should be covered with some kind of veil. Paul, I think, was speaking for the churches of the day when it was kind of shameless for women to go out with no head veil, and a shaved head was a sign of public shame.

It's just like in some religions some ladies have to wear a hijab.

Maybe they dont want other men to see them as beautiful so they wont sin or cheat on there husbands. If they're not pretty then they wont be wanted except by there husbands.
I dont really know though, i'm just saying my thoughts.

It is interesting that the bible says, "Does not the very nature of things teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him, but that if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For long hair is given to her as a covering."

As I see it long hair makes men look foolish - even effeminate while long hair makes women more feminine. It's the nature of things. Long hair is also a sign of subordination - which is the role of the woman.

The answer is the same for Samson. He was not suppose to cut his hair... when it was cut, he lost his strength. If you feel that God does not want you to do something, and you do it... it is sin.

Because of Adam and Eve's decision to disobey God, their act of rebellion caused us to inherit the sin nature, and death. None of us are without sin.

The sin nature is what we are born with and sinning is what we do because of this nature. They can be thoughts such as lust and hate or, they can be actions such as fornication, adultery, murder, lies, steeling, coveting or etc.

Jesus, who is God in the flesh and never sinned, came to the earth to die, to forgive us of our sins and to remove the sin nature which brings us back into the original fellowship with God that He intended for us from the start. This is accomplished through Jesus' death on the cross for our sins, to take our place for the death and punishment that we deserve, instead of us.

People forget that we are not under Old Testament laws any longer and our goodness can't remove this nature. Only through repentance and acceptance of Jesus as our Lord and our Savior, can His sacrifice apply to us. Jesus gives us the free gift of salvation, because of His sacrificial death and eternal life because of His resurrection from that death.

Jesus is alive and is now King of Kings and Lord of Lords and is the head of His church, the body of Christ, Christians.

It says in the Bible a woman should not cut her hair, and she should be silent in church.
The Bible is basically nonsense.
