Is Microsoft Office 07' good?
I heard they changed the UI, so is it any more better to use? Or is it worse?
Is it more harder to do stuff? Or more easier? What do you think?
I plan on purchasing Office 07', for many tasks like documents, presentation slides, spreadsheets, databases, e-mail, etc. So I'm curious.
It's not a money issue- it's whether it's good or not. So what do you think? Is Office 07' a good productivity suite?

I bought it for college and its great. They changed up a lot of the menus for Word and excel, but its a lot easier to use than previously. Also Outlook is better than ever. Its a must buy.

So you are focused on the "standard edition" at least or maybe even the Small business edition both which cost 299+. One feature that I LOVE about 07 in the Business side is to create and upload a website to the internet under your own ****.com domain. Hosted by OFFICE LIVE look it up.. I have one droppedgt.com but i havent had a chance to do anything.
Yes the UI is different and does take a little getting used to but everything is more modern in the ever changing technology world so you have that EDGE needed in your important productions.
It is definitely justified if you plan on using it more than say 15 times.
*** update** also i see people recommending Open Office which is great for those on a budget etc but it does not have an intuitive layout or features included with a paid version such as Office. There are many versions or flavors for you linux types, of Office. Student & Teacher is basic, Standard comes with Outlook > cost more but useless if you only need Outlook Express or already have a different email program and then Small Business and others for Accounting features and Website Production.

MS Office 2007 is definitely a different interface compared to previous versions of MS Office. I can't say that I've seen any compelling reasons to upgrade from previous versions but if you don't have a copy, MS Office 2007 should meet your needs.
On a personal note, I haven't seen any significant usability improvements for the basic office user since MS Office 2000. Sure new features have been added but for a typical user these don't warrant an upgrade. I had asked a question about what features anyone "must have" with the new version of MS Office and I really didn't get any responses that make me want to buy it for home use when I already have an older release. I'll say that if you don't already have MS Office then buying MS Office 2007 makes sense, otherwise stick with what you have.
KCballer - Please identify what new features are in MS Office 2007 that you plan to use. Keep in mind that I consider updated graphics as additional content, not a feature and interface changes as simply a change in how to accomplish a task, not a feature too.

I have only tried the Microsoft Office Word 07. Its appearance has greatly changed but I can't say that It has improved. It mostly uses tabs for easy navigation. But there has been some problems like finding a certain command. Since it is using mostly tabs, your going to have a hard time finding a specific command because you only know it by word. I remembered i was having a hard time finding this command that I went to the trouble of hovering my mouse pointer to each icon in the tabs. Eventually I found it but of course you wouldn't want to take that much time just to find a command right?

the place of work 07 now no longer has the drop down menus..(neither is there an selection for them). as a manner to get the previous ideas -- you need to use the recent panels( confident i comprehend it sucks)

Personally, I'd stick with Office XP or 2003. Office 2007 just doesn't feel like it's finished, because it keeps flipping back and forth between the new and the old UI.

I installed a few for customers, after a week or two, they all wanted 2003 back, that really saids it all.
They made 2007 into graphical yet non more productive unless you need the extra features, as well as slower, I tried to print a document and it took me a few minutes just to work out where to click.

I don't like it because I use to know where everthing was, Excel is a bit easier to make graphs though which makes up a bit. Its all about adaptability to change.
Edit: Hooray for thumbs down by stating my opinion.
