I understand completely and actually have the SAME problem! My Bengal, Samson used to pee on my stove whenever we were not looking. My other cat Petey pees on my carpet in the back hallway and we have had to remove the carpet there due to the stench. Neither of them have UTI's or any kind of medical problem. They are as helthy as can be.

I tried lemon spray, lemon peels, pepper flakes, scented oils, feline plug ins, enzyme carpet cleaner, shampooing the rug.. You name it. Nothing has stopped the pee completely, but instead of taking them to a shelter, I decided to keep them in a spare room at night with a litter box and plenty of food and water and a cat bed. In the morning they are free to roam all day until I go to bed again. I just supervise them and so far this works. It is a lot of work, but worth it. I could not live with myself if I took them to a shelter. It is basically walking them to thier death. If the animal is adopted to a good home and pees there, he will be back at the shelter or dead if ended up in the wrong hands. It is a decision of the soul. They do love us, even though they pee. They are animals, sometimes we just do not understand why they pee. It could be territorial, it could be he is looking for a mate, maybe a cat outside is peeing around your property, who knows. Make sure you take your cat to a vet to be checked out, it could be medical and not behavioral. Always be on the safe side.

I have been successful in eliminating the pee from 3 or four times a week to once a month by purchasing 3 more litterboxes and placing them in convenient areas throughout the house. Try putting a litter box at the end of the hall where the cat pees. Even if you have to step over it, it is better than pee on the floor!

For the stove, it may sound cruel but it WILL work. Buy one of those motion activated fish that sing or other motion activated toy and place it on the stove. When the cat jumps on the stove to pee, the motion sensor will activate they toy and scare the cat off of the stove. It may sound cruel, but it is not harmful to the cat and is better than taking him to a shelter. It WILL keep him off the stove! Especially if you love the cat.

I hope this helps and good luck!

Is he neutered??? You need to block his access to that area!!

MAybe have him checked out by a vet...in case it is a medical problem. In the event that it is behavioral...WHO do you think you are going to give him away to???????? WHO is looking for a cat that pees all over the house??? Shelter do not want cats that pee all over. Most of those have to be euthanized.
