They believe that when the sasquatch, skookum, skilly, whatever, is on the move and many people see them, it means dark times to come. It is not a good omen.

Native people don't worship them--they try to co-exist with them. They are not harmful to people, but are best left to themselves because they are not to intermingle with mankind.

All tribes have their legends about sasquatch. Look up shalishan legend--that's the one I'm most familiar with.

Believe in, some northwestern tribes have legends about large creatures in the woods - or they might be pulling the white researcher man's legs.

The creature called Wendigo is a legend of the American tribes of midstates along the Canadian border

dont think they worshipped him! lots of different tribes told legends about him under many different names!
