I have been having chest pain for over a week now. I have been in and out of the ER a total of 3 times. Still they have found nothing. They even done a stress test, and said it wasnt heart related. Family doctor said it was nothing to worry about. Still I have a tremedous amount of pain in the middle of my chest and down back and left arm? Should I go to the ER?

I have had a stress test, ultrasound of gallbladder, EKG'S, blood work, endoscope and colonscopy. Nothing was found.

This is deserving of a visit but, to a cardiologist not the ER. A cardiologist will give you more time and concern. Now that you've been back and forth so much there doesn't seem to be a great hurry but, I would get in as soon as possible. There are more definitive tests the cardiologist can give you to be certain of a heart condition.

I was having severe chest pain all summer long. I was actually taken to the ER by ambulance twice because it got so bad. Finally after like the third time telling me it wasn't my heart because I'm only 25, they did an ultrasound and discovered that I had gallstones. I was surprised because my stomach didn't hurt at all. It was always my chest and arms, kind of like you are describing. I'm not saying that's what you have, but it sounds familiar to me. I ended up having my gallbladder out by the way and everything has been fine since then.

You haven't provided enough information to assess your risk (age, other medical problems, cardiac risk factors (smoking, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, family history).

Chest pain can be caused by serious things (heart attacks, aortic aneurysms, etc.), and less dangerous things (heart burn, muscle pain, anxiety). No one reading your message would be able to assess that, so you should not decide to skip going to the ER because of answer. That said, your family doctor should do probably do something if you continue to have pain. This might include a treadmill stress test, a scope of your stomach, or a trial on a medication such as Prilosec.

I would say yes. Although they have said before it is nothing, you need to make sure it is nothing. Something is causing this pain and they will need to find out what is causing it..

yes and make them do every test there is on your heart. Have your Dr send you to a heart specialist. if he has not done so already.
