It can depend on what you are doing during, if you have the time then yes you can go. Many AD members do go to college and gain AA, BA, even Masters. As for where you go, it can depend on the base itself. Many do have colleges right there and they actually go on a 10 week term instead of 12 weeks. And sometimes will offer a 2 week class during the break (you go every day for 10 days, 2 hours a day). University of Maryland is one that has classes on bases including those overseas. Sometimes as well the classes will be cheaper on base than if you take them off base. You can also gain automatic credits for classes you have done through the military.
