Yes, you can. You can even be a Special Forces Engineer Sergeant that is Ranger qualified. You can earn three tabs (SF, Ranger, Sapper) and still get to blow stuff up.

I'm not sure that the Rangers need engineers, because they don't usually perform missions that would require the services of an engineer, and each Ranger is well trained in the fine art of blowing things up.

However, you may first qualify as an engineer and then request Ranger training as a specialty. Both Ranger and Engineer are intense, special training programs.

Check with your recruiter or officer detailer to find out any special requirements or restrictions that may apply.

p.s. - for clarity of a previous answer, the Marines Ranger program is NOT the same as the Army Ranger program.

um a ranger tab doesnt mean your a ranger, it just means u passed ranger school. ranger school is a leadership school. to be a ranger u go to rip ( ranger Indoctrination program) and if u pass u are placed in a ranger battalion. but im pretty sure u have to be either an infantryman or a medic. if rangers need engineers they just call up whatever engineer company is near by.

Yes...sorta.
You can go to Ranger school and then return to your Unit as an engineer. Heck, even Marines can go to Ranger School.

Engineer would be your MOS or Military Occupational Specialty (your job)

Ranger is a classification of your training.
