...(Matthew 10:7,11,14) As you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of the heavens has drawn near.’ ...Into whatever city or village you enter, search out who in it is deserving... Wherever anyone does not take you in or listen to your words, on going out of that house or that city shake the dust off your feet.

Really, everyone who respects and obeys Jesus Christ goes from door to door to teach his neighbors about the Bible's good news. It is interesting that only Jehovah's Witnesses are so clearly identified with the preaching work; globally more than 6 million preach publicly each month.

(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you.

(Acts 5:42) Every day in the temple and from house to house they continued without letup teaching and declaring the good news about the Christ, Jesus.

(Acts 20:20) I did not hold back ...from teaching you publicly and from house to house

It's sad when someone who claims to respect the bible actually insults or even advocates attacking a peaceful preacher. Sad but completely expected.

(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching... You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

Really, if someone goes out of their way to disregard Christian preachers and preaching, what is he saying about himself?

(Luke 10:1-17) After these things the Lord designated seventy others and sent them forth by twos... “He that listens to you listens to me too. And he that disregards you disregards me too. Moreover, he that disregards me disregards also him that sent me forth.”

In light of Bible, JW must go to people. Take an example. Apostle Paul went from house to house to preach the good news. Many in his time would thought "it's annoying the visits from the member of this new religion, the Christian, we already have our faith". But nowadays we understand that Paul and the rest apostles preached the truth. Something similar happen these days. JW visit people from house to house to preach the biblical hope of a new system, with love, peace, health. They are the only religion that do it worldwide. The bible prophesied it, you can check in your bible on Matthew 24:14. So the best for all is to hear at least one time the views of JW. Everyone has free will and can choose what will believe and what will not. If you don't agree the next time you can say "i am not interested" and JW will leave.

Acts5:42:"And every day in the temple and from house to house they continued without letup teaching and declaring the good news about the Christ Jesus".
Acts20:20:"While I did not hold back from telling you any of the things profitable nor from teaching you publicly and from house to house".
Do these two bible passages sound familiar??
They should. Jehovah's Witnesses do a work similar to Jesus. And Jesus taught his followers to do the same. Before his ascension into heaven he commanded his disciples to:"Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations.....teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you".
And this is exactly what we do.As Christians we imitate and obey Christ Jesus.
And if they hadnt preached to me I would still be searching for the truth. But thankfully I have now been one of Jehovahs Witnesses for ten years and am very grateful to Jehovah for his patience with me.

How can one be offended by the chairing of knowledge of bible with one another. No religion has it just right but I have got to tell you that the Jehovah witness make more sense then most. And they are real Christian and not only by name but by faith, grace and work first.

Yes they should, just like Jesus and his disciples did.

Also it is an command by Jesus himself. Matt. 24:14. 28:19, 21

It is also very effective. Worldwide in 2006, JW's conducted on average over 6,286,618 bible studies with non believers a every week.

And maybe the number of JW's worldwide dubbled in since 1987. Which was only 20 years, and most likely well dubble in size again in 20 years, or less.

It's to bad that most feel the way they do about such peaceable people .... I myself have never shut a door on any person that wanted to explain something ..... I never had to agree with anyone who came thru my door ..... As far as these people are concerned you people assume more than you should.... they are not there to force anyone to the Hall , but simply doing what Jesus did going door to door and told his followers to do the same ..... In rejecting that view you also reject the lords viewpoint to save all who would listen... Both Jehovah & his son Jesus both know who is listening and who isn't.... So close your ears if your afraid of Gods words...When they both come on Judgement day your closed doors and ears won't matter will it ?

Jehovah's Witnesses go from house to house to talk to people about God's Word, just like Jesus did. Jesus commanded us to do this work at Matthew 28:19,20. A true Christian is a follower of Christ and Jesus talked to people wherever he could find them. So, Jehovah's Witnesses do the same.

Though I find most 'Witnesses' very devout in their beliefs, it seems to me a rude and intrusive practice to show up at people's homes uninvited or without an appointment. I've told them many times I would love to sit and talk with them but I work at home and always ask if they would please call ahead so I can fit them into my schedule. They never do and continue to stop in at their convenience. How can I buy into their beliefs when they show such a lack of respect for the wishes of others?

Jehovah's Witnesses go from door to door because they want to follow Jesus' commandment about making disciples.

"Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit." -- Matthew 28:19

Jehovah's Witnesses have a message to give to people which is that, soon, God will install a new world where people will live forever in perfect conditions, here, on an earth transformed in paradise.

"For he must rule as king until [God] has put all enemies under his feet. As the last enemy, death is to be brought to nothing." -- 1 Corinthians 15:25,26

"The righteous themselves will possess the earth,
And they will reside forever upon it." -- Psalm 37:29

"In his days the righteous one will sprout,
And the abundance of peace until the moon is no more." -- Psalm 72:7

Jehovah's Witnesses don't force anybody to share their beliefs. All people interested in knowing more about God and his purpose concerning humankind can study the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses and come to the Kingdom Hall.

"This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ." -- John 17:3

It doesn't bother me. I always ask them, "Where are the men?" Around here it's only the women who are soliciting. Same with the Mormons.

Unfortunately, I have to run them off after five minutes for misinterpreting Scripture, their own NWT, of which I keep a copy by the door. It's sad how these corporations use and deceive these people.

JW's, like all other denominations or non-denoms, have no king but Caesar. They are incorporated into the State and carry State identification documents. But yet, they say they don't pledge allegiance to banners of the U.S. Well, what the heck do you call giving fingerprints and photo ID's; and applying for benefits and obtaining U.S. Socialist Security numbers? These people don't understand the smallest maxims of law . And because they are a hierarchical system, further truth is not accepted unless the Watchtower in New York says so.

I always wondered if they were controlled by the Masonic Lodge, but then most Masons keep X-mas. You got me...
