So now I have a kitchen aid food proccesser and mixer. My mom is upgrading and me her old ones. What can I do with them. I've heard people say they can't live without theirs but why is this? I know you can make mashed potatoes, but what else.

they are the best mixers / processors available on the planet. SAY THANK YOU to mom. why not spend some time with her and learn how to use it ? i assume she knows the value of these, and that is why she gave you this ? if she doesn't, enroll in a cooking class and enjoy the heavenly treats you will turn out. , pizza dough , cookies, cakes, baby foods, soups, the meat grinder is terrific for making your own sausages / grinding steaks to make hamburgers.

i've got been questioning approximately this myself. i ultimately desperate that i myself did no longer want a heavy accountability mixer. i offered a $sixty 5 KItchen help hand mixer. i'm pleased with it. I opted to no longer purchase the great mixer because of the fact, i might ought to apply it sufficient to justify counter area. I also have a bread gadget that i take advantage of to combine, advance, yet no longer bake bread. It does not weigh plenty and that is undemanding to pass from the cabinet to the counter. I very own a nutrients processor that i take advantage of a minimum of four cases a week. remains on the counter. It handles pasta dough, pastry dough and biscuit dough besides as all the conventional slicing, dicing, grating and pureeing. i've got yet to discover a cookie dough that my Kitchen help hand mixer can no longer take care of, so i think of i'm good. the base line right here is do you bake sufficient to provide up counter area and justify the value of the gadget. If I have been going to purchase one i does no longer get one smaller than 5 quarts--that is gonna value $350 or so.

Wow, you are so lucky to have them gifted to you! I have both and I don't know what I'd do without them. The mixer has made bread dough, dough for rolls, whipped cream, pie filling, it's great for creaming butter and sugar. I invested in the pasta maker, sausage stuffer, and shredder attachment. The shredder is great for grating veggies and most importantly, shredding my own cheeses blends. And making homemade pasta and sausages and grinding meats are really fun.
The food processor I use for about anything. Making dough for tortillas, pestos, salsa, hummus, dressings, oils, pureeing tomatoes, blending soups, and making homemade bread crumbs for coating or for meatloaf. You can do anything!

A mixer is, of course, indispensable for mixing everything, like cake and cookie batters, etc. A food processor is great for chopping large amounts of things like nuts or vegetables--it makes cole slaw making easier--graham cracker crumbs for pie crust...
