Many years trying to understand this concept but I couldn't convince my self by the Formula 1+1+1 =1.Nothing in this world could at least make an approach to understand it.Examples should be reasonable not at random like many try to give and all fail to see how this god we worship looks like.

The trinity includes the following definite ideas:

1. There are said to be three divine persons—the Father, the Son, and the holy spirit—in the Godhead.

2. Each of these separate persons is said to be eternal, none coming before or after the other in time.

3. Each is said to be almighty, with none greater or lesser than the other.

4. Each is said to be omniscient, knowing all things.

5. Each is said to be true God.

6. However, it is said that there are not three Gods but only one God.

Search as you may, you will not find one scripture that uses the word Trinity, nor will you find any that says that Father, Son, and holy spirit are equal in all ways, such as in eternity, power, position, and wisdom. Not even a single scripture says that the Son is equal to the Father in those ways—and if there were such a scripture, it would establish not a Trinity but at most a “duality.” Nowhere does the Bible equate the holy spirit with the Father.

The trinity teaches that God is made up of the THREE persons--Father, Son, and the holy spirit. Jesus taught that God is made up of ONE person--the Father. At John 17:3, he said that his Father is the ONLY true God.

The New Catholic Encyclopedia admits that the Trinity "is not. . . directly and immediately the word of God."

The New Encyclopedia Britannica reports: "Neither the word Trinity nor the explicit doctrine appears in the New Testament."

The New International Dictionary of New Testament Theology confirms: "The New Testament does not contain the developed doctrine of the Trinity."

PEOPLE who believe the Trinity teaching say that God consists of three persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each of these three persons is said to be equal to the others, almighty, and without beginning. According to the Trinity doctrine, therefore, the Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God, yet there is only one God. Many who believe the Trinity admit that they are not able to explain this teaching. Still, they may feel that it is taught in the Bible. It is worth noting that the word “Trinity” never occurs in the Bible. But is the idea of a Trinity found there? Regarding the end of this system of things, he quotes Jesus as saying: “Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father.” (Matthew 24:36) How do these words confirm that Jesus is not Almighty God? Jesus says that the Father knows more than the Son does. If Jesus were part of Almighty God, however, he would know the same facts as his Father. So, then, the Son and the Father cannot be equal. Yet, some will say: ‘Jesus had two natures. Here he speaks as a man.’ But even if that were so, what about the holy spirit? If it is part of the same God as the Father, why does Jesus not say that it knows what the Father knows?

God is. God just IS.
Jesus wasn't Jesus (the Son) until he was born. Jesus was The Word (John 1:1). "In the beginning was the Word.." shows that Jesus (the Word) always existed with God. The verse then goes on to say that the Word was God. He then became flesh. When the Word became flesh he became a human--meaning he was no longer equal to what he used to be (Philippians 2). Becoming human was completely different than being God. God still existed while The Word became flesh.
The Holy Spirit is God's active powerful spirit.

Non-trinitarians claim that all three are (or must) be equal. UNTRUE. They don't have to be equal. Although they may be equal in many areas, they are also unequal in other areas. Otherwise, why would there be three distinct persons of God? Only one would be needed if they were all equal. The reason they aren't equal is because each are their own unique person with a unique purpose. Jesus said "Father is greater than I." God just is, the Holy Spirit carries out God's work and Jesus is God as a human--the living and preaching WORD.

Linedancer is a Jehovah's Witness. They don't believe in the Trinity. They claim the word "trinity" isn't in the Bible, which is true, but neither is "rapture". They also use words that aren't in the Bible such as "blood transfusion" or "Paradise Earth".

alright understand time, time is like a line it can be devided into three points, the past the presnet and the future, the past is not the present the present is not the future nor is the future the past, but they are all time, and they do not contradict each other. this is like the trinity, one God three beings one substance three parts

supporting arguments via scripture

John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." together with John 1:14 "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth." and John 1:18 "No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the Father's side, has made him known."[18]The Bible says "God the One and Only" in NIV.

John 5:21 "For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son gives life to whom he is pleased to give it."

John 8:58 "I tell you the truth," Jesus answered, "before Abraham was born, I am!"[19]

John 10:30: "I and the Father are one."

Matthew 3:16–17: "As soon as Jesus Christ was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and landing on him. 17And a voice from heaven said, 'This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.' " (also Mark 1:10–11; Luke 3:22; John 1:32)

and most importantly

Matthew 28:19: "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit"

Everything made reflects God's image of 3 in 1. The atom - it's one but 3 parts. The smallest part of a human is the cell - it's one but 3 parts.

Genesis 1.26 Then God said, Let US [plural] us make man after OUR [plural] likeness.

Genesis 3:22 Then the Lord God said, Behold, the man has become like ONE of US [plural] in knowing good and evil. Now, lest he reach out his hand and take also of the tree of life and eat, and live forever—

Genesis 11:6-7 (re: the tower of babel) 6 And the Lord said, Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language, and this is only the beginning of what they will do. And nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them. Come, let US [plural] go down and there confuse their language, so that they may not understand one another's speech.

You need understanding to understand. First there's GOD (1) then there's JESUS (1) then there's Holy Ghost (1)
GOD = Father JESUS = Son Holy Ghost = Saints (not separate individuals but all are one)
Everything came from God. In order to understand what is called the trinity you must understand that. This is why all three aren't separate and are considered one. Jesus said he only did what he saw his father do. Saints today say the same thing. So Father, Son, Holy Ghost or God, Jesus, Holy Ghost known to man as the Trinity. Saints can't do things just to be doing them, they do what God shows or tell them to do. In ICorinthians 3:10-16 "Don't you know that you are where God lives." It's a mistake to believe that God is in the sky when he clearly said he lives in you. Just keep listening to that small voice that is talking to you. Most people say this about that small voice they hear, "you know something told me." Hope that helps you. Be good to you.

All examples given will be at random, there is no reasonable explanation for a concept that makes no sense.

There is no Biblical support for the pagan teaching. The verses they give do not show how the THREE are ONE and EQUAL.

The mathematical formulas they use would get them kicked out of the Mathematics 101 class.

The examples about three-lobed leaves makes no sense, because none of the separate lobes are LEAVES on their own. That means Jesus is not God on his own, the Father is not God on his own, the holy spirit is not God on his own. That does not go along with their own beliefs.

The examples about a man being a husband, son and father do not make him THREE men, he is ONE man playing THREE ROLES.

The examples about the triple point of water just say that the three phases exist in EQUILIBRIUM at the same time, not that the steam is the liquid or the ice and so on. There are THREE SEPARATE PHASES, not ONE PHASE. Saying that would get you an F in Physics 101.

It is simple, really.

Jehovah the Father is God.
Jesus is Jehovah's Son.
The holy spirit is Jehovah's power.

Trinity is not a mathematical formula to calculate.

It is an eternal and divine truth to understand by faith.

God the Father, Jesus Christ the son and the Holy spirit. They three are not different, but one in Godhead.
Co-equal and co-existing from eternity to eternity.

God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit...all three are ONE God.

Father , Son, and Husband...all three make up the one man.

Ice, water, steam...all three make up H20.

God explains it in a manner that we are told to believe, NOT necessarily to understand in its totality. All three are the ONE true God.

The word trinity is not even in the bible. Jesus is Gods son (2 seperate people) and he is seated at the right hand of the father. The holy spirit was sent by Jesus (2 seperate people) after Jesus died.
