we have been im'ing everyday. he wanted to take it slow and communicate only online till he felt comfortable. his previous gf cheated on him and he was very gun shy. though he said after a few months that he was falling in love with me. we exchanged pictures. well-this past week-after a year-he called me on the phone out of the blue and says he wants to meet.
is this too weird??

why would it be weird???? --- its been a year --- all you now have to do is decide if you want to meet or not --- but be sure the initial meeting is in a public place ---- best wishes

i, personally, wouldn't feel comfortable with the idea of meeting someone from the internet. if you're still considering it, definitely meet in a public place. make sure there are plenty of people around just in case. also, i would run his name through a search engine and make sure he doesn't have anything out there that you would need to know about. or search public criminal records.

its a little weird but nothing to strange. just do what you feel nis right. if you want to meet him, do it; if you dont, dont.
and take their points on public place or with people or even better both.
