How do you not accept death?

You accept death by having always known that it is a part of living. In most cases, the quality of life would be deplorable if the dying person were to live instead.

With as much fear as the next person and hopefully with resignation and some curiosity when it comes.

Although no one admits it openly, death elicits fear on many different levels, perhaps more so for some than for others. Wetter one is a Bonn again christian, regular christian, passive or aggressive christian, atheist, agnostic or whatever .... the fear is still there, just not on the surface but underlying all the brave speeches of courage and resignation.

I've accepted death due to my religion.

Don't think i'm preaching, but I KNOW in my heart that there's more than this life out there. That I will regain my body and knowledge and there is something greater, so I look forward for doing all that I can in this life and then graduating to a higher place, so i'm afraid of how it will feel when i die, but i know it has to happen some time, it happens to everybody, but in a way i'm also excited to see how things are.

That's how I, in my own personaly way have accepted the fact of life, death.

Like gravity. Like the ocean tides. Like tornado's and hurricanes. Death is a law which cannot be changed (except by God). The law applies to every living thing. Accept it as a law and accept death then you find peace.

Have you accepted Jesus as your savior and asked for forgiveness of your sins?(Romans 10:9-10) "That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved." Death is only a death of the physical body. You have eternal life, if you have been saved.

Time and help from a professional. My wife died 12/27/06 and I have been going to a grief counselor since then. She has helped me work through the things that everyone feels and how to handle the inappropriate things people say and do. Find a good grief counselor and let them help you through this. Always remember that there is no time limit on grief, it takes as long as it takes.

I don't take it well at all, but I always accept it. Even if you go through a period of denial, eventually you'll realize that all the denial in the world doesn't hide that person's absence from your life.

Death is a reality...one MUST accept it. There are two things you will do in this life. One is pay taxes, and another is to die.

At this moment , a dear friend of mine is dying of cancer in a hospital bed. She knows who she has trusted and is ready for the inevitable. She knows this world is not her home and that she will be with the Lord, as she has trusted in His finished work on the Cross for her sins.

Death is NOT the christians enemy, as we have been given ETERNAL Life.

i find that accepting death is really quite simple, if in fact you examine the concept a little further and realize that it awaits us all. and you have no other choice, but to accept it. it is factual, the one thing in life that you are bound to gain, is death. a better question is how not to fear death??? perhaps?
