And in doing so, do we ever ask ourselves if it goes against what we believe to be the correct interaction with others?

This is a real question. Being a spirit in a body, being corporeal in physical form when we are incorporeal within, presents us individually with some degree of difficulty in stepping down the vibrational energy we essentially are, from extremely agile and free to ploddingly slow and somewhat cumbersome. How easily we manifest our thoughts has something to do with it too. We may be better at some things in regard to this, than others. It becomes our path, or way, whilst in this world. Harsh words stem from frustration at not manifesting our thoughts into instant results. In a fraction of a second our dissatisfaction with ourselves becomes dissatisfaction with the immediate environment we have placed ourselves in, people near us etc. Soon enough a reaction may come back from someone or through another source. Whatever happens....best not to judge one's self too harshly, but to consciously watch it when we do, and perhaps we will overcome our weakness, gradually.

Wyte is probably right, but another reason some people use harsh words with others is because their parents and role models all used harsh words with them. If all a kid grows up with is antagonism and acrimony, then that's how he's going to interact with the world. It's not that it goes against what they believe is the right way to interact, but it's the only way they know.

I was definitely one of those people at one point in time. It took a lot of love from a lot of people to help me grow out of that.

Some have no beliefs, they speak harsh words because they feel harsh inside. Everyone will manifest what is within them, it is just how it works. Even the best of us are not 100% aware & awake at all times.
CC is right, only Love, & I mean real Love for our brothers can change this. When you find someone who is being harsh, remember it is tough in there for them, not only are they living with those feelings, when they express them, it hits them first.

You will know you really love when you can feel the pain of the one abused, & feel the pain of the abuser just as strong, & weep for both.
Blessings.

I am a guy, I do not believe in political correctness nor do I see any reason to flower something up so I don't offend someone,, if you don't like the question or answer, go watch TV. You will never find a place where people speak their opinions, that is soft and cuddly,
If you find such a place, everyone is agreeing with you

I agree. Sometimes when someone says something it is just words to them, but to the other person, it could be much more. If it is better to not say it, then I do believe that it is against what they believe. No faith would inforce mean and cruel behavior and language to others.

Some are completely unaware of the total effects words can play. Others use words to cut, with complete knowledge of their effects.

Sometimes we choose harsh words for exactly that reason, because they do have an effect on others.
For that reason, we should choose them carefully.

I think those that choose to use harsh words are immature and do not realize the impact it may have on another.

aristotle once said: 'i like plato, but i like the truth more.'

many people here, including you, think the truth is less to be honoured than plato.

your choice. plato would not have respected it.
